They do not believe the bible. They believe mans words or the world wisdom, above God's words and wisdom in the bible.

If you have no respect, or trust or belief in the bible, your up a creek without a paddle. It's the only way to know God.

People know you by your words and actions. They get to know you by what you talk about. God made known His heart and will via His written word. So, just like you cannot know me without my words, you cannot know God without His words.

Simple...
pletho the bible was written by humans that lived over 40 years after jesus supposedly existence (this has been proven a fact). the bible has also been written by multiple people from different generations which has caused over 400 inconsistencies within the bible (this has also been proven). had god truly spoke to these people why would there be any inconsistencies?

So you admit to being unwilling to listen and consider while at the same time bashing nonbelievers for not being willing to listen and consider.

In back to back posts? Really?

Maybe so. It would be pretty weird if he showed up though. What are the chances of JC showing up and proving atheists wrong once and for all?
I mean, if my religion was being criticised (or my very existence being questioned), I'd kind of be forced into providing some credible evidence of my existence. It would be the rationalthing to do. Since God/Jesus doesn't do anything rational, it's pretty hard for rational people to believe He exists.

What is meant by rational? This word is hugely diverse in philosophy, and not definitely agreed upon in academia.

The usage of "more" implies a metric of rationality. How is this quantified?

The real reasoning I suspect is either reverse ("he gets jesus, he is more rational") or circular.

As tame_deuces points out.

First define rational please....

I think my cat tromping over my keyboard has a better chance of "being right" than Splendour, because surely a completely random input has a higher chance of "being right" than someone who is actively opposed to logic.

So, how do you know what every poster here did or didn't?

In order to do God's will, you have to know God's word, rightly divided. You have to know what God wants or asks of you to do, in order to carry it out. You also have to believe it. Doing what it asks in unbelief and speculation will get you no results, only the consequences of your own unbelief.

Ok, so doing what he asks is the way to find to god. Well, but you state in the same sentence that doing what is asked in unbelief won't work ...
Ok, so if I get that right, in order to find to god I had to do what he asks for? But if I only do what he asks for without already believing in him it won't work?

So you're essentially saying there's no way for an atheist to ever find to god?
