Sometimes the smartest people have the most to learn. All good.

The use of primary feminine colors and pearls, it's remarkable.

Check out Ayaan Hirsi Ali. I picked up a copy of Infidel and promptly lost it again.

Oh, well. So it goes.

lol... Your Jesus had Mary, our Muhammad had Fatima.

And considering, cities like Dubai are a lot more enlightened and peaceful than your typical American cities.

Give Muslim females a little credit for playacting sometime.

A Prayer To Change Your Heart

Most Precious Lord Jesus…
Gentle And Wonderful God…
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit…
In my grief, be with me and change my heart.
In my anger, be with me and change my heart.
In my pain, be with me and change my heart.
In my doubt, be with me and change my heart.
In my wrongful passions, be with me and change my heart.
I despise all my dark emotions so change me into your likeness.
Change me into your likeness so I may walk in your joy.
Change me into your likeness so I may walk in your peace.
Change me into your likeness so I may walk in your serenity.
Change me into your likeness so I may walk in your certainty.
Change me into your likeness so I may walk in your righteousness and holiness.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
Amen

For maybe about 5 minutes, there was a thread up (by an obvious troll -- which is why it's no longer there) that cited George HW Bush making the following quote:

Quote:
I don't know that atheists should be regarded as citizens, nor should they be regarded as patriotic. This is one nation under God.
FWIW - Here's what was found on the snopes discussion board:

http://msgboard.snopes.com/cgi-bin/u...1;t=000185;p=0

and here's a link to the person who is claimed to have had the conversation:

There is (apparently) no secondary or corroborating source.

A future prophecy of the second coming contained in the book of Acts 3 and explained by Dr. Stephen E. Jones.

19 Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, 20 and that he may send the Messiah, who has been appointed for you—even Jesus. 21 Heaven must receive him until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets.

What you don't find it compelling Peter in addition to John was speaking of a 2nd Coming.

We're not living in a fully restored period yet.

People always want instant perfection now they haven't enough patience...but the full restoration is in the future.

Critical thinking versus discernment.

An interesting comparison. I'll post it here in case people overlook it in the RGT video thread:

Is this really worth posting twice? To quote and summarize the argument:

Quote:
The Bible is filled with situations where conventional wisdom was overthrown and only the person with spiritual discernment or an obedient heart would discover the joys of veering off the well-trodden path.

Look at Abraham, walking his son up the mountain to be sacrificed. Look at Moses, leading his people to a dead end with Pharoah’s men in hot pursuit. Look at Namaan, taking a bath in a river to be healed of leprosy. Look at Joshua, shouting at the greatest walled city he’d ever seen in order to conquer it. Or Gideon. Or David. Or Jesus born in abject poverty to an unwed mother. Or Gentiles speaking in tongues.

Conventional wisdom and critical thinking would have landed the people in a heap of trouble, causing them to miss out on God’s plans and purposes, His deliverance and His provision.
Taking examples of faith producing better results than critical thinking from a book that aims to promote faith is no better than saying "And if Luke had not had faith in The Force, then he would not have destroyed the Death Star".

Quote:
When God spoke audibly to Jesus, some said they heard thunder. Some, an angel.
Seems legit.
