was reading the "Satan. Created by God perfect and good or evil?" thread and got to wondering why people so commonly refer to GOD as a male (he, him). GOD is GOD or am i wrong?

I have barely ever read a bible but is god also referred to as a male in that?

I always see lots of focus on ancient greek and hebrew. I am upset at Jerok for not promoting the latin language, as he is catholic.

Is there any church or religion in america, or the world, that absolutely does not ask for money from the people who attend? Is there one that some rich faithful person built and pays to keep running sincerely out of his love for god? quick google search is not helping
