No, I haven't caught that yet. I will look into it, good? I want to say that I have only seen them live one time and that was at the first, maybe second Warped Tour. Greatest all day concert I have ever been to. NOFX, Pennywise, Bad Religion, CIV, Goldfinger, and a bunch of other bad ass bands. And to top it off there was a riot!
Oddly, one of my favorite music genres is Christian rock.
That is kind of odd. Is there anything other than its Christian-ness that tends to distinguish the genre? Or do you just like the kind of rock it tends to be?
In colorado for a family reunion of sorts. My dad's family is in town from arkansas and im already on tilt due to how openly religious they are. Within five minutes of being here my grandma asked if id found a good christian girl yet...i told her no, im an atheist and im dating an atheist. She looked like she was going to faint on the spot. Then my dad pulls me aside and asks why i cant just "play along" because of how old she is. Lol at that bull****. Then i go with one of my aunts to get coffee and she starts talking about how weird the wedding they went to was. Weird meaning no preacher was there, and they served alcohol. I am on life tilt right now and i cant see making it another five days without seriously going off on someone due to them saying some condescending comment about something pertaining to religion. Cant wait for the dinner prayer...i swear to god if anyone prays for me to find god im going to become the "militant atheist" that they probably think i am and just go off on whoever does it.

My family pulls this **** on me too, then they wonder why I don't show up at Thanksgiving.
yeah i only showed up because of how much i know it means to my dad. well, that and i like seeing my brother and sister's kids. just wish i would have made the trip about half as long as i did.
I feel your pain. I went to my cousins graduation party and my uncle's (by marriage) dad was there. He is a former baptist missionary. Yes, I play poker for a living. Yes, I am an atheist. No, you aren't going to convince me to join your little baptist club by using a bunch of bible quotes.
Later he tells 4 of my cousins individually, I hope you find the path to christ.
The kicker, they are christian.
He didn't tell anyone else this.
The other kicker, they were the only non whites there.
I think the experiences of Einbert Butcho and I are something that many christians in america don't understand. When we are truthful about our unbelief it causes strains and sometimes complete breaks with family because they no longer want to associate with us. While, I am lucky in that most of the family who knows doesn't really have an issue. I lost many friends when I came out as an atheist. It was at a very inopportune time as well. I have severe bouts of depression constantly. When my former friends started treating me like a pariah I was near suicidal. I had a few friends that stook with me, but I understand the burden of having a friend that is also very depressed alot, so I even stayed somewhat away from them.
I can say with honesty, Christianity almost killed me twice. The first time, when I was a Christian and going through depression, I felt that God was punishing me, for something I had no idea about. I begged him to kill me, and looked for signs that he wanted me to do it. Giving up religion saved me.

Wait one second!
people actually have weddings without alcohol? I mean, I thought weddings with cash bars were bad, man that would suck!
All of my family and extended family are religious and I am definitely the only atheist. Only a few know it because thankfully it's never really a discussion.
I did however go to a wedding where there were a few atheist people sitting at some tables with myself and numerous other christians and the atheists drove me more nuts than anyone else.
Point: everyone is annoying regardless of religious or non religious affiliation.
