This of course assumes prayer is unaffected by any of Newton's laws or even that the notion of praying in a direction is to hit a specific point on earth in order to be heard by a god that is all around us. Which is probably a better slogan you could tack onto the picture.

I Thought Einstein believed in God. But not in the literal bible meaning just that God was collection the laws of the universe that we live in. And it is because of the laws of nature that we exist.

That would be a bad but acceptable definition of atheist imo.

Franklin may not have been a Christian, but he wasn't an atheist either (at least not in public life). He identified himself as a deist, and even lobbied unsuccessfully to have a prayer session every morning at the Constitutional Convention. From wikipedia:

Jefferson, Sagan and Einstein definitely atheist (unless you really like the word spinozist,
then Einstein was that but that's atheism,
he found the belief in a personal god or a god that cared about the
actions of men a childlike thought, Carl Sagan was also technically a spinozist)
Nobody in this universe know's about Lincoln,
Darwin was probably nothing but heavily influenced by his British Christian upbringing (and weird by nature so you can't expect him to be clear-cut on religion).
Franklin was an obvious Christian, or he must've been under pretty large amounts of pressure to go through all these hoops to look like one.
Nora Barlow would like us to believe that Darwin was
actually a bat-**** crazy person who thought there was no reason
why all religions couldn't be equally valid,
both historically and in writ, meanwhile being a mixed blend of Christian.

My thoughts exactly. Acts of charity are not against the "Atheist Code". Not everyone who gives their time/money to benefit the less fortunate are religious. Empathy and sympathy are good qualities either way.
