The difference is the images by Jib were making fun of an ideology in a light hearted way where as the image you posted was making fun of individual posters by misrepresenting their positions.

When I flagged your post I put in the comment I would not mind so much being ridiculed had you actually protrayed me as saying something I actually said....but you put out a falsehood. As tattered as my reputation is, I should still defend it.

I'm going to agree with Stu here. The image that was posted was targeted a specific posters. Where Jib's images were targeted at atheism and atheists in general. If he was using an image targeting you or me, the argument would be legit.

That said, I still laughed.

I laughed too when I first saw it but the more I thought about it, the more I didn't like the fact that he was misrepresenting my position. God knows I have said enough goofey stuff on this board that Rizeagainst doesn't need to go make stuff up. If he wants to ridicule me thats fine, i just ask that he take his material from the black and white and not his imagination.

I've been an atheist for many years now and I've never seen that symbol in my life, nor have I ever been invited to or even heard of an atheist gathering or fundraiser.

And just lulz @ the last line of that motivational pic. If someone wants to embarrass themselves by posting that I'm all for it.

Agreed--I know I assumed the statements were verbatim, especially given the reference to the threads. If not, definitely 100% deletable. If they were direct quotes (without any editing) and they were actually what people were trying to argue (i.e. not a brain fart or something that could/was taken the wrong way), that's another story.

But a joke like that is only funny if what its referring to is true. Like if I said, "why is that woman outside, she should be in the living room where she belongs!" it wouldnt be as funny as saying she should be in the kitchen.

It already is. It's just, I keep planning to go through the whole thread and delete all the non-picture posts (and expired links and ****).

So when I see this kind of thing I just say to myself "I'll delete this when I get around to cleaning the thread."
