update: bones have been found in south california that match the structure of that of an average adult wookie. a primitive crossbow item was found nearby. the batteries appear to have been been drained long ago.

in other news, old paintings of jesus christ appear to show him carrying a lightsaber.

Just as believable as any other bogus religion if you ask me.

Magical guy walking on water with talking snakes, magical guy choking people with his mind, it's all the same.

Why not take one of the (first three, ldo) Star Wars films as a holy text created as a prophetic message to the human race by the great seer Jedi Master Lucas? I'm sure that after hundreds of hours of close analysis it will divulge many recondite insights. There are other *Ways of Knowing* guys, break out of your scientism prisons.

I'm assuming you're bumping to prevent it from going in the archives, or has there been some huge Jedi Knight revelation I'm not aware of?

Here's an excerpt from a book that seems somewhat related. Perhaps members of the JEDI faith might find it interesting.

Quote:
I have already stated, in the introduction, that this Book is fact, NOT fiction. The word JEDI is an abbreviation for JEsus DIsciple.

Before any of you start to fall into the trap, of mistakenly thinking that this Book is a science-fiction novel; based on “Star Wars”, by George Lucas, just because I have used the word JEDI; I am going to explain to you, something that George Lucas does not know, yet.

George Lucas, quite naturally, believes that he wrote “Star Wars”, but, in reality, he was told, telepathically, what to write, in Episodes IV-VI inclusively, and then forced to make those episodes first, by the very “Force” to which the “Star Wars” films refer, as a very important step in the preparation of mankind, for the long awaited truth, about the real reasons for human life on Earth (what on Earth am I doing here?); the meaning of life and its purpose, contained in THIS Book. This Book is science-fact. YODA is an abbreviation and refers to a training-book.

George Lucas, not understanding that he was being told telepathically, thinks that “Star Wars” came from his imagination, which is a perfectly normal human reaction, that many people have had over the centuries. Rudyard Kipling thought that he wrote “IF”; Oscar Wilde thought that he wrote “The Picture of Dorian Gray”; Joe Darian thought that he wrote the words to “The Impossible Dream”, and the list is endless.

Although “Star Wars” is set as sci-fi, in a distant galaxy, to make it entertaining, it actually refers to this galaxy and life on Earth, and contains the truth, which is demonstrated symbolically.

What Luke Skywalker learns, during the “Star Wars” films, Episodes IV-VI inclusive, is what each and everyone of you HAS to learn, to be able to survive, get out of here and go HOME. Episodes I-III are meaningless fiction.

No, this has in fact caused a split between the Jedi churches, some now doubt the credibility of the jedi council and the authority of their dogmatic proclamations. The new offshoot is called the Far Far Away church of the Jedi. It didn't start a long long time ago, but eventually they'll be able to make that claim.

Now I'm off to resume my search for genuine fragments of the original light sabre, there are many fakes you know.

Didn't know that Jesus was accompanied by talking snakes while he was walking on the water. Thanks for the insight.

I had trouble figuring out if I am a Sentinel or a Concular, so I just figure I am both (I don't mind the contradiction, so I must be). The Sentinel is in-between the two extremes of physical and mental, but I am a bit more mental than a Sentinel. There are also all kinds of other mixtures, so I made mine, though they are one of the three anyway (I disagree).

I also did personality tests of what kind of Jedi I would be and got Mace Windu type regularly because I am a bit of aggro and a bit bad according to the test, just like with the Big-5 (theory) and EQ where I am also a bit of aggro and a bit bad and a bit non-trusting (as a fact) and so on, and it is overall viewed as negative by the psychologists and I understand why but it is a lot of factual things and partly right for me and the Jedies agree as they have Mace Windu, and I have my fingerprints also. I am nicer and less powerful in a way MW is but I see the similarity overall.

I took the Sith test also and got Darth Tyranus two times and I don't really disagree. While my vehicle came as some Star Destroyer (the big ships) as I am sort of massive in a way partly noted in my attitudes. I could be working in some big industry (a huge factory or a similar non factory) but opted otherwise as I also have my soft preferences.

Star Wars has all kinds of aspects of real life, so not unrealistic, but not complete and fully reality adjusted. But as a result of many tests and thinking, Star Wars as a personality test made me to more clearly accept that I have some negative traits I need to be careful with, but they also are a part of me positively, just needing to keep them more on the light side of the Force.

Until I opt to pick the dark side, that my ethics doesn't accept but wouldn't be a miracle if that happened, and in Star Wars there are many heroes and villains who have been at both and had masters from both sides, just like I also have had and learned from both.

There are the Grey jedies etc. also, and the Force sensitives who are not Jedies nor Siths.
