That and the nature of your posts certainly paints a picture of someone who were never looking for a serious debate. An easier way of putting it is that claiming "all modern hip-hop artists" are linked to "opportunistic anti-religious fundamentalists" and the occultist Alasteir Crowley is dubious to the extreme. Your world view isn't really relevant to that claim.
That the new age movement is linked to satanism is, however, a typical viewpoint held in a small clique of very hardcore adherents of Christianity and Judaism. This to some extent makes sense, because for these groups New Age movements can mean a liberalization of values they feel are divine command + their holy works warns about being tempted by the devil. However, as an atheist, you would presumably not believe in the spiritual corruption due to loss of faith - and you would instead be referring to ethical corruption due to actual cultural influence which would necessitate historical contact and proof of links. I can't really see you have made any kind of case for such an influence.
Thus your newfound claim of "atheism" actually makes your statements worse.
I am very, very well acquainted with occultism.
The NEM directly contradicts Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism. And then it claims that Lao Dzu, the Buddhas and Confucius are some kind of transcendent masters that can be channeled on earth.
But the Buddhas, Lao Dzu and Confucius all agree that only demons will take material for to talk with mortals. Confucius even points out the terrible karmic consequences of dealing with magic.
If the NEM was ready to stop confusing the common people about this great teachers, we would not have this conversation. I have studied all the religious text I could find.
I was reading Eliphas Levi, A. Crowley and Blavatsky when I was 12 !
I have no problem with NEM, but with what NEM is.
No new age follower is ready to explain what da **** is the new age movement all about. They come up with things that I know for a fact to be inconsistent with the truth.
because where is what Wikipedia claims them to be.
"The New Age movement includes elements of older spiritual and religious traditions ranging from Monotheism through Pantheism, Pandeism, Panentheism, and Polytheism combined with Science and Gaia philosophy; particularly Archaeoastronomy, Astronomy, Ecology, Environmentalism, the Gaia hypothesis, UFO religions, Psychology, and Physics.
New Age practices and philosophies sometimes draw inspiration from major world religions: Buddhism, Taoism, Chinese folk religion, Christianity, Hinduism, Sufism, Judaism (especially Kabbalah), Sikhism; with strong influences from East Asian religions, Gnosticism, Hermeticism, Neopaganism, New Thought, Spiritualism, Theosophy, Universalism, Esotericism, and Wisdom tradition"
So for me this is one big lie hidden behind a bunch of small truths.
