My friend told me the Pope was anti-christ. I said WTF how do you figure that?
He explained to me that the bible explains in 11 prophecy's the real description of the anti-christ. All of these describe the pope. I watched this video and now its hard to think otherwise. http://www.john1429.org/video/antich...hrist-128.html

-The catholic church murdered over 100 million people who followed the bible
-The Pope has 666 on his hat (Latin number equivalent to the wording on it)
-The roman catholic churched changed times and dates in history of christian events.
-An unrelated friend explained that the catholic church has not much to do with the bible and has broken many of the ten comandments


I say this with no disrespect to any religion but To me it seems like more than overwhelming evidence. Can anybody explain to me otherwise or discredit this info that the pope is indeed not the anti-christ and my buddy is nuts?

does your friend (and you) also think 9/11 was a huge conspiracy? I ask because people who believe **** like this are just looking for crazy things to believe in.

So are all popes the antichrist, or just the current one? If it's specifically Benedict, why is he the antichrist rather than John Paul II (or how does your friend know it's Benedict and not some future pope who will be the antichrist)? Maybe the video addresses this but I haven't watched it.

I think 9-11 is unrelated to this topic. I am unbiased on this topic of the pope and if anything i am more inclined to believe my friends story is a unfathomable. However it seems like more than enough evidence to prove him right. Can you prove him wrong or show points on parts of him being incorrect?

I will ask my friend and re-post but from the feel of the video it seems like all the popes are. I do not know much about religion and not sure if that is possible but that is the feel i got from the video.

There are some people who think that the Pope is the Antichrist. The Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod puts it in writing.

Many others just think the Pope is the head of a large group of deluded people who believe in strange superstitions, primarily as the result of Roman, Spanish, Portuguese, and British colonization.

Just one note, the whole "pope's title = 666" is such a stretch and hilarious that you and your friend believe it so willingly.

The 666 thing is not the only reason behind this thought. Obviously if it was I would say "simply coincidence" The fact is its one thing among many that have cause this thought that the Pope is the anti-Christ. If the 666 thing is in fact true obviously it would not say 666 in big numbers on his hat it would be hidden in a coded message of some sort. Exactly the way it is now.

Its similar to me saying John Smith killed this girl because she was killed in apartment complex x at 11pm and he was in apartment complex x at 11pm. Id say come on thats such a stretch it doesnt prove anything. However what if i said he was in apartment complex x at 11pm, he had a relationship with the girl, the bullets from his gun matched the ones found in her, people heard him shouting from her apartment, she called her mom the day before worried that he would do something dangerous, and his semen was all over her...tad bit overwhelming

All the evidence combined seems way to overwhelming. Im unbiased on this claim about the pope but there seems to be way to much evidence, can you discredit some of these?

Let me give you a hint, with the way roman numerals are constructed, its very common to have words that form numbers with a lot of 6's in them.

The term "antichrist" is used, but not in reference to a particular individual with a special role in prophecy.

I did some research and found out that between the years of 538 Ad to 1798 Ad the Roman Catholic Church killed millions of christians. Pope Paul in March of 2000 admitted that this was true saying "millions" however the exact number is often debated

That was 1260 years, the Bible explains the "beast" will be in power for 1260 years then not be in power (the church was not in the 19th century). Then in power again (they are now). Another piece of evidence

basically all they do is take 1260 years, and try to fit something around it. the nicest way i can put it is your friend is delusional.

The 666 is hidden because it does not say 666 in plain numbers it says them in a "coded message" All the letters added up equal 666 i do not think any individual letter was a 6 (maybe 1 or 2 at most out of 15ish)

My John Smith example was saying that with only 1 piece of evidence a story can be a stretch and often coincidence but with many pieces of evidence it is hard to discredit something. The same way one piece of evidence claiming the pope is the "anti-christ" may be seen as a stretch or coincidence but the amount of evidence piled up in this case seems concluding.

Of course everything is going to appear as a strech. If this was true do you think the pope would really ride around in a seven headed beast. However it appears to be to many things that can be made out into this being a convinving story
