Please explain how random single celled primordial mush evolved and produced something as complex as a human brain in such a short time span without intelligent direction.

what's your idea of a short span of time?

Also - is it your impression that most atheists are biologists? Are you under the impression that someone could explain to you all of evolutionary science in a few posts?

Finally- what are you hoping to learn or prove? I'm just curious how you think this is meaningful. I imagine if someone posted, "explain how a creature could create the universe out of nothingness no one could answer other then 'magic' or 'that's what God's do... we don't understand it." It seems to me that believers don't really care much for understanding things when its convenient.

Each reproduction of primordial mush cells had a tiny chance of mutation. Most were damaging, but some helped the baby mush survive and therefore made it more likely to reproduce.

This process happened a lot, resulting in a diverse range of lifeforms.

One of the lifeforms was a human with a human brain.

For proof please consult the field of biology, with special attention to the subsection of genetics.

What do I win

I like the thread title, I wouldn't have opened it otherwise.

As to your post, my answer is I dont know. I dont even know if that's how it happened.... I dont know what happened. It could have been Yahweh that did it but I wont believe that until the evidence supports it. As of right now, the evidence supports abiogenisis, not Genesis.

imo Athiests are better explaining why the human brain exists then thiests are at explaining why there are bad things in the world.

This. How much elaboration do you want? Because neurobiology, evolutionary biology, and comparative anatomy have a lot to say about this topic.

PS. What would your idea of a long time span be?

I haven't looked into it since Sharkey's days here, but as I recall there are significant problems with the timescale. There are also (of course) a number of competing theories as to how to explain the discrepancy - nobody seriously thinks that it couldn't have happened, but it seemed to me that pretty much everyone agrees that it couldn't have happened using just the processes/mechanisms/facts we know of so far.

Why dont you tell us agian the fairy tale you believe on how we were "created by god".

So where did this god fellow come from?

Noone knows exactly how evolution works but we can SEE it working. I do agree that there is a big unknown as to how things get more and more complex. The Universe seems to be the Ultimate recycling machine alwaying creating and destroying and creating....add infinity and the possibilitys are endless.

Science doesnt have all the answers yet. but lieing to yourself and pretending to know the answers is not the right path imo.

Everyone is missing the boat on this one so far. Let us say we cannot explain it. Now what?

No such thing as macro evolution, only micro. Dogs will always give birth to only other dogs no matter howwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww many times times they have sex, and if dogs are around another billion years, they will look the same as they do today, Same goes for every other spieces on this planet

The dumbest thing i've ever heard, is, if you give it enough time, one spieces will turn into ZOMG another spieces. Talk about a fairy tale.

So, you want me to rewrite "the Ancestor's Tale" in an RGT thread?

Well, we also know we don't know of all the processes involved yet.

By the way, none of our computers are even close to being this powerful. Many orders of magnitude away.

And it's tough to answer this question without giving it a test.

All scientific evidence points to creatures suddenly appearing on earth, including humans. Look at the Cambrian explosion.

It's been a fun thread, but I'm going to die of some kind of apoxia if I stick around.

I don't claim to be an expert, but i also like to keep it real and simple, whereas alot of people in this forum like to play minds games and spin fairy tales as facts.

A dog doesn't just give birth to an elephant. The problem isn't evolution is wrong. The problem is you don't understand it.

atheists don't have to believe in abiogenesis.

I would suggest asking a biologist or someone who is an expert in the field.
