WNYC RadioLab actually did an episode that discussed this very experiment.

As I posted in SMP, what does this show that we don't already know? Alcohol also influences morals, was no one aware of that either?

Scientists have discovered a real-life 'moral compass' in the brain that controls how we judge other people's behaviour.
its not about our own actions, but how we view others

i think the overall point is that morality stems entirely from our brain, and its faculties.

many theists will say that morality is beyond scientific understanding, as well as beyond the bounds of merely the physical.

but if morality can be swayed by magnets around our brain, and alcohol swimming in our brain, isn't it now safe to say that morality is really just a construct of the human brain?

Yeah, I'm not as impressed with these as with studies that show generation within the brain. I mean, it's very neat and exciting.

But there is no problem for dualism if affecting the brain affects the mind. We don't need a conduit for that (or the conduit can be mental rather than physical). The problematic (falsifiable) claim in dualism is that the brain can be affected by the mind. In order for the mind to affect the brain, there has to be a physical conduit through which it does so.
