You can sub in a more applicable word if you like, that is what I meant by it though.

By core belief I mean what you base your morals and values on....what drives your train of thought and helps guide the way you live your life.
I asked 'why' you think it's inherent, not what inherent means, and again, whether a belief that couldn't be considered a 'core belief' could still be a belief based on faith, not for your definition of 'core belief'.

The stronger someone's faith is the more it is in inherent belief/core belief. The weaker it is the less that is true, sure. If someone doesn't have much faith in something though should we continue to label it as faith? Why do I call it inherent....because people believe in things out of habit or by nature. Habit is just conditioning and most religion is conditioned. It is possible to have faith based on what you naturally believe in at your core without the conditioning of other people but that isn't easy and most people's faith is based on outside influences rather than internal retrospection.

I don't think 'inherent' means what you think it means. You haven't demonstrated why faith is 'essential'. If faith is a result of conditioning, then I wouldn't say that it is inherent, it's acquired.
