Macroevolution - Page 2 - Religion, God, and Theology

This made me think of the other night when I was talking about evolution to my father (who is a YEC) and he said something to the effect of "you know evolution is just a THEORY" and I proceeded to laugh in a very condescending manner (I was frustrated by this point) and said something to the effect of "you do realize that theories are not babies that one day grow up into laws with more evidence, don't you?"

I am pretty sure that I got that from like Dawkins or someone. Just thought you guys would find it funny that I was possibly regurgitating my arch nemesis, lol.

Also, there's a ton of information in the two links from OP. Does anyone have Cliffs on it? If not, I think it might be best if when you see something you consider convincing, post it plus the rebuttal and discuss that.

He didn't really know what to say. Then he just kinda repeated what he was saying before. So I brought up the general THEORY of relativity and how it has been tested more than just about any theory of physics and asked why it hasn't "graduated" to a law yet. I don't think that he quite understood and changed the subject.
