the bickering here must be constructive for someone..
i'll reserve addressing specific points to better serve the goal of delivering the concept of this message undivided.
this is my perspective..
take from this what you will..
May the following words find you in Peace..
[Begin Sermon]
Jesus is/was the prototype. the model.
not necessarily a "Saviour".
but The Redeemer.
there is a difference.
the above statement in and of itself is enough to enrage blind followers to the point of dogma in action: aka bloodshed, if and when a (perceived "common joe") is witnessed performing "miracles".
anyways..
when i think of Jesus in that generally accepted (and propagated) image(devoid of all introspection), then Yes.
Grandiose Religious Delusion.
i would agree with the the staunchest atheist here..
but it All be His Will for a Higher Purpose.
so i Judge Not.
But for me..and i am SURE 'others' here will agree..
The King of Kings is not to be viewed in the same light as a king/subject paradigm.
at my current stage spiritually, i will concede that although the Son and the Father are One, my perspective on my relationship with Father, will Always be far more illustrative of my "servant" status, than of that as an Equal.
wih that said, i believe the most valuable lesson we can perceive from the persona of the model Son, is that of:
Self-Rulership in Exemplary Fashion
(By and through the Father's Will)
We are all guilty of Sin.
But one can truly repent, when one is truly Finished with the notion of Sin.
(gotta spit that apple out completely, im working on it...)
i will concede that we must remain watchful..that our motives remain Pure..
but Not self-righteous Pure..
Wholly Pure. Purity Undivided.
-------------------
Are there any theists(or now atheists) who feel they have struggled a good portion of their lives, or continue to struggle with the idea of "getting right with God", and have never truly felt that Wholeness, that Certainty without a shadow of a doubt?
that very same uncertainty that causes us to continue seeking, switch religions, or reject the acknowledgment of a God entirely?
anyone here ever felt guilty of this?
(ER raises his hand)
i now know the reason why.
(cliche incoming)
the reason why, is because only the Truth will set you free.
That Truth is, that you and I, are All organically connected to that I AM consciousness that is representative of the Son and Father.
and this Truth is not a Knowing.
it is a Realizing.
A Real-izing, or, making it Real within You.
-----------------
my atheists will like this.
Think of God as a Koosh ball.
Now think of each one us like Tentacles on that ball.
we are made to believe that we each have our own separate identity, our own separate space, our own separate will..
some are even made to believe that the Koosh ball was never there, and that they are just wild free-roaming tentacles..
But in Truth, we all go wherever the Big Koosh ball directs us..
it even gives me the idea that this response was of my own making..
what a marvelous, fun Creator..
-------------------
the arguing, or questioning of facts, just doesn't coincide with or Exist in a paradigm of Total Trust.( Jesus)
Facts are not Within.
Facts are Without.
If one continues to look Without, one's answers will always be exoteric..
esoterica is much more productive..
right aj?
in summary, whether one believes the man named Jesus existed or not is ridiculously irrelevant..
for the light of unconditional Trust and Love that He has shone upon this World is irrefutable, no matter how dim that light has been allowed to become..
within You..
