Plausible, yes. I'm not so arrogant as to claim I know for sure. Keep in mind it's also plausible for me to win the lotto, get struck by lightning or flop a royal flush.
It's just the Christian definition of creation has very close to a 0% chance of being correct. I'm not sure if you're Christian, you never mentioned...
I've heard theories that we all exist in a computer program, therefore "God" would be whoever created the program. I won't get into detail on them, but they were more valid imo than the Christian tale.
You don't seem to be a Bible thumper, so I'll assume you're coming more from a philisophical standpoint. From this standpoint, the desire for people to need to know there is a higher power, or someONE created us, is very explainable and understandable. It's just a shame that religion segregates humanity, when we are all in the same boat. When scientific theories are accepted, they are accepted world wide. No theory of God has been accepted in this way.
