If society was like it is currently? then yes. If I could choose gay or not gay for my children at this time, I would choose not gay. Why? Because due to social pressures from people like you and Splendour (and worse) I know that my gay child would have a more difficult life. If no one cared and homosexuals were treated just like everyone else, I can't see myself considering such a step.

I do not think owning a gun should be a right in the first place; I think it should be a privilege. Disregarding that, I already answered this question. I do not think the government should take away somebody's right because others misuse that right.

Yes and yes.

A pregnant woman can flip a coin to determine the future of her baby's possible abortion for all i care, it's her right and her body. Who the hell am I to regulate any aspect of this OP.

Sounds like you just want what is best for your child.

Suppose society valued homosexuals more than heterosexuals...suppose they treated homosexuals a little better than heterosexuals. Would you give your very young child a pill that would turn him/her gay?

I would probably not make any decision for my child that effected his life in such a way... not counting abortion of course.

The hypotheticals are getting a little out there. Why don't you bring this stuff back down to reality?

Its the same question asked from a different angle. Its purpose is for you to examine the issue from different angles to see if you are consistent. Unfortunately it becomes difficult to avoid wacki hypotheticals.

Well, the problem is in this hypothetical you have one group being treated only a little better, that's not really what I was talking about. I suppose if it were that homosexuals were discriminating against heteros, and were the majority, etc. etc. I would, but again, that's the problem with hypotheticals that get more ridiculous. You have to keep adding terms to make it work.

But to answer your question: if the difference is minor, then no. Bringing it back to your original, if acceptance of homosexuals had come a long way and while homosexuals were pretty well accepted though not quite 100%, I probably wouldn't do that in uteri (sp?) procedure.

I think a woman should be able to abort a baby. I am not comfortable with the idea of testing the baby for aspects such as sexual orientation before deciding to abort the baby.
