I have not studied religion. I know very little about the bible. Am I correct with this simple christian concept?

God lives in heaven. The devil lives in hell. We live on earth. When we die we go to heaven or hell.
-if heaven is so great why did god put us on earth first. Why did he not just skip straight to the heaven part.
-Are heaven and hell planets in space or another dimension?
-If heaven and hell exist in space, are god and the devil aliens?
-If heaven and hell are in another dimension please explain. Where does that dimension exist if not on earth or in space?
-Once we are in heaven or hell are we there forever? Even after the earth has been destroyed when the sun has a super nova?
-If we get to got to heaven for all eternity can we just commit suicide (no I am not suicidal) and get the party started?

The whole 'dimensional' concept is awkward since heaven and hell are not presently physical places, but immaterial, but I don't know how else to describe it.

God lives in heaven.
Not in the classical Christian sense of an overlord on a throne in his heavenly home. The One Source Creator of All made all things and by this One all things consist. The One is the spark of life in all beings, including you, and that Life courses through your being. You are likened to a lamp and the Source is the Light that lights your lamp and gives you life. You are at your core, we all are, connected with the One Source. If God were an ocean, we are a wave on that ocean.

The devil lives in hell.
Again, not in the classical sense. There is no final destination reward/punishment for this one life lived. In the beginning, there was foundationally no devil to play the enemy of a Hero God.

But, because at our core we are in relationship with the Creator and because the creative life force energy of the universe is that which animates us, we are beings able to create. Millions of people over hundreds of years collectively believing in a devil have created a Satan from our life force energy. (crazy you say? beings are created every day by men and women having sex!) Looking for an excuse for the "bad" things that happen, and unwilling to accept our responsibility in the matter, we created a catch-all being to blame it all on, the devil, Satan. So, he's part of the game now.

Well actually, you chose this life. You chose to incarnate in this place at this time. In the time between lives, in "heaven", we, the eternal part of us that we call soul, chooses whether and when and where we want to play this game some more. You chose and so you came to play, live, enjoy the game of human existence. We are here for a blink of eternity; but the earth parameter of "time" throws a wrench at our pea brains while here. You have incarnated many, many times. By your choice.

Imagine for a moment a lit lamp. Now cover that lamp with a bushel basket. Now what surrounds the area? Darkness. You are a lamp lit by the Light. And in this game we cover our lamp with a bushel basket of persona. And we fumble around in the resultant darkness. When the darkness becomes so pervasive, so engulfing, we can choose the early exit play of suicide. You might have in a previous incarnation. Who knows. It's the sucker path out imo, and will immediately trap you in "worse and worse" cycles of the game because of one of the rules of the game, karma; the residual energetic aftereffect of lives previously lived that has an effect on the current life being lived... If you know who and what you are, you won't choose suicide.

Anyway, I enjoyed writing that for you and hope it is a help for you. If, as you say, you don't have the religious programming in your persona, some of it might resonate within you. For others, the programming of the bushel basket of the egopersonas that they have chosen, will hinder and maybe block comprehension.

I would be remiss if I didn't let you in on one of the secrets of the game. You can get the answers to these questions yourself. We're all playing this game together and are all a piece of the same Source and it's a blessing to help another and to be helped, to give and receive. But, my post above should only be confirmation of what you already know within. Blind trust of another in darkness is why there are a million different religions on earth.

Anyway, one of the keys to the game is this. Ask a question, and you shall receive the answer. Pretty simple, eh. Here's the secret though. Ask the question aloud with the intent of wanting to know the answer. Why out loud?

Your being is animated by the Life Force Energy of Creator Source. When you just think of stuff in your head, it doesn't exist outside of your head. When you speak a question out loud, it now exists in the universe as a tiny piece of creative Source Energy and the Creation will create the answer and bring it to you by various ways and means. Oftentimes, internally in a still small voice (Not thoughts in your head!) IF your bushel basket of egopersona isn't overpowering the Light of your lamp. Otherwise, a click of the mouse, a statement on TV, a lyric in a song, a friend's off-hand comment, an observation down by the lake, an epiphany of aha! or a million other possibilities. (perhaps here one might look at their "prayer life". Is it all rote, ritualistic Our Father's or praying silently with thoughts in the head?)

If you are genuinely interested in this topic, it would be revealing to do a search for exactly where the Bible says anyone is alive in hell.

The two elements together: 1) alive and 2) in hell. Not alive somewhere other than hell, and not other than alive in hell. Rather, alive and in hell, at the same time.

Ideally, after your last incarnation and before this current one, you chose. In the broadest sense, you chose to participate in the human-being-on-earth game (at some point, maybe way back when) . More specifically, according to the rules of the game, karma, and with the counsel of various soul friends, and many other things, you were able to choose some specific and general parameters of what you wanted to do with this incarnation.

(Unless you are "stuck" in the game, and auto-incarnating and reliving basically the same life over and over again. Which you knew was possible when you first chose to enter the game x lifetimes ago.)
