Let's assume following to be 100% true:

Being X drops from the sky, and randomly tortures 1000 people to death. Then he goes and rapes 1000 women and 500 animals. Being X is also absolutely good and all-powerful.

The question is: since our idea of good is apparently so removed from whatever "absolute good" means, does it make sense to talk about this being using only the word "good" - the word that we use to name different things?

When people die, they go to a special place in the sky. They can only eat their own feces, and there isn't much of it, so they are always very hungry. It always rains in this place, but the rain is not composed of water, but of molten fire or acid. People cry all the time, because of hunger, pain and misery. They are absolutely happy.

While we recognize that they truly must be "absolutely happy" (since the God said so), does it make sense to talk about them being "happy"?

Yeah, it's pretty hard for to imagine God as benevolent, too.

I think that yours and the mass majority of other peoples opinions on this matter are highly skewed, because of a lack understanding and also because yours and others perspectives and viewpoints are from the wrong angles.

Point in case: You are a father, and you have lets say 4 children, is it not your duty to protect those children at all cost?

Wouldn't anything less than doing that would make you a bad father and un-loving?

And if in the course of protecting those children (which is loving and the best course of action) others happen to be hurt, whom you know for sure will hurt not only the children you presently have, but also your future children, what are you to do?

Especially since you know the future, you know exactly what will happen before it ever happens.

Tell me then in the scenario above, is it loving to do whatever it takes to protect your children that you love.

Is it loving to protect your children?
