**I see you edited your post to add a bunch of unnecessary hogwash...lol. Looking forward to your explanation to how the Bible says it is okay to pray to a cow.**
An intelligent fisher must first see if it is worth to get the fish that he has on his
fishhook. Therefore the editing.
I will explain the first point after you confess that you have been wrong regarding the second point. The quotes that you did chose are from Bible. But you must show what Bible means when it talks about poverty and wealth. I claim, Bible means who is strong and rich in this world, he is in reality weak and poor and who is poor and weak in this world, he is in reality strong and rich. Otherwise we would have to believe in Pharao and not in Jesus. Your first quote is from a very nice passage, which on its own shows that what I claim is right:
"My heart rejoices in the LORD;
in the LORD my horn [a] is lifted high." (this is what makes me rich and not money! Would you say this is wrong?)
4 "The bows of the warriors are broken,
but those who stumbled are armed with strength. (What did I say about rich people who are in reality poor....?)
5 Those who were full hire themselves out for food,
but those who were hungry hunger no more. (They are not hungry, cause now God did give them money or cause now their heart rejoices in the Lord?)
8 He raises the poor from the dust
and lifts the needy from the ash heap;
he seats them with princes
and has them inherit a throne of honor.
(Does it mean that he seats them with princes like Pharao or with princes like Jesus? May I remind you on John 1:51 : "I tell you the truth, you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.")
"For the foundations of the earth are the LORD's;
upon them he has set the world." (Is wealth the foundations of the earth, upon them the Lord has set world?)
"It is not by strength that one prevails" (What do you think strength means here? Doesn't it mean those who are rich on this earth and have the power on this earth?)
The second quote, I unfortunately didn't find it the way you did quote it. But the following is from James 1 (New international Version
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/...01&version=NIV )
10But the one who is rich should take pride in his low position, because he will pass away like a wild flower. 11For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way,
the rich man will fade away even while he goes about his business.
(Do I have to add something to this?)
