Genesis is fairly similar in Christianity and Judaism, they both contain the sentence about God creating man "in his image".
The Quran does not have a specific Genesis chapter, so the creation myth is part piecemeal of passages throughout the Quran and mixed with testimony from Islamic traditions ("hadith"). That "man is created in his image" is not found directly in the Quran, but there is a Hadith that says something very similar.
I don't know if directly answers your question, but the divine aspect of art is one of the staples of Europeic medieval culture. Up until the age of enlightenment art was very often a foundational academic subject, the subject you had to study before you would be considered qualified for philosophy, theology or law.
