Most people on here are so hung up in their own "rationalism" that they won't even entertain the thought that the body has 3 brains though a lot of modern research is showing there's more to the brain than just the one in our head:

Well the bible works through many different people's minds when they interpret the bible and these people are at different levels of maturity.

I believe God's work on people isn't over.

We're the ones who think we're a finished product. He doesn't.

We're not complete without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit given to us by Jesus Christ on the Cross.

Man is tripartite: body, soul and spirit.

Without the restored born again spirit you're only running on 2 cylinders instead of all 3.

He tells us how to appropriate Jesus Christ's help with restoring our spirits in the book of Romans, chapter 10, verse 9.
