I ran marathons for a while... both arches collapsed.

Started out as plantar fasciitis .... ended up as plantar fibromatosis.... no way I spelled that right....but basically ended up having the bottoms of my feet operated on because running 1252 miles in a year apparently isn't good on your feet.

Jeeesh.... maybe if it was in behind me. Haggis sucks.... not all Scots like haggis. LOL

Tonight however.... We went to one of those Japanese places where they make the food in front of you.... there were 2 Aussies sitting in our crowd...not with us but at the same grill...so kind of with us, I guess.

They were a young couple..... out on the town.... I had the waitress bring me their check...

I'm a selfish person because I enjoyed paying for their meal probably as much or more than they enjoyed getting a free meal.

Life is good, my brothers.... life is good.

Enjoy it!

Yes I have had haggis. It wasn't terrible. I've eaten some strange filipino foods which makes haggis look like porter house steak.

OK here is my good thing.

Are you Scottish Joey?

If so I'm jealous, haggis is lovely as are the highlands.

I gave a kid 20 pennies in McDonalds so he could put them in one of those things that rolls them in circles. He seemed happy and his mum thanked me as she was out of change and i could tell he really wanted some coins to put in.

You can tell by his videos that that pastor doesn't know what to believe. I'd be interested and finding out what church he actually works for, if any. Chances are your paying his rent.

And yes...I am Scottish. I have a Scottish flag hanging on my porch as we speak. Haggis is horrible..... but I'll be choking it down on Saturday.

You want to help out the homeless? Next time you are at the grocery store, pick up a couple loafs of bread and drop them off at your local night shelter.

There's no real likelihood that this guy is on the up and up.

Not only that Catholics are pretty well known to go against God's Word.

As an atheist, this really bothers me. I mean, how can I support someone who goes against gods word. Especially when told this by Gunth, the person who understands the bible to its fullest and has accepted christ as his personal savior, oh wait.

I just realized 2+2 did something good recently.... making Jib a mod was an AWESOME idea. He'll be fair to both sides....just seems like a really good guy.

If I were a girl, like Howard is, I would date Jib.

That's the thing, i don't understand the Bible to its fullest, which is why i haven't accepted Christ as my personal savior yet. I would be going against God's Word if i went ahead and did this , which is why i have not yet. How many more times are you going to try to stoop this low Melchybeau?

Get over yourself and stop with the insults so threads can actually achieve their purpose.

I haven't been ITT for a while - are we sharing good deeds? I'd like to share one I witnessed.

I had to go to the emergency room - no big whoop, but needed (after all the hours and hours - y'all know how that is) to get the medicine right away and was waiting in line at the pharmacy. It was set up as one line, first person goes to the next of two open windows. i was second, there was a young woman in front of me, maybe 20-ish.

At one window was a distraught woman, she had brought her child in, in the middle of the night, she was poor, this hospital is the one the poor folks on medicare or medicaid or whatever go to and she'd driven 60 miles. Now, while she had all kinds of ID - she had left her driver's license at home and they wouldn't take her check. (No idea why she had no check card.) So, we hear all of this -- her kid's sick and exhausted, she is sick and exhausted and will have to drive all the way home and then come back, not sure why her medical card only worked at the hospital, but drugstore was out.

Kid behind window was adamant - no picture ID, no check. So, the woman is about to leave because the kid is throwing her out of the line and the young woman in front of me steps up to the window and starts throwing cards down on the counter and says, "I have ID, how much is her prescription?"

I am absolutely sure they'd never met. She just paid for it. She didn't look rich, either.

It was cool.

I was in line at a drug store the other day and this woman in front of me starts this big argument with the cashier over a $1 coupon that had expired. There's about 6 of us in line and we're waiting while they go back and forth. This went on for what seemed like an eternity. Finally I said, "Jesus lady, here I'll buy it for ya!". She only had about $6 worth of things and I flipped a $10 to the cashier. The cashier looked at the lady and the lady looked back and said, "It's fine with me.". The people in line started to applaud.

Does that count as a good deed? I've done others.

I think so. I have never understood why people argue over silly stuff like this. It is usually not people that actually need that extra dollar either.

I got stuck in line behind some people the other day that had picked the wrong item (one that wasn't on sale), and didn't believe the cashier when she said there was no sale. They made the bag boy run all the way to find the item and check to make sure there was no sale. When he confirmed no sale, they just didn't buy the item. This was to save like $2 out of a $140 bill.

Agreed. My wife pointed out afterward that the guy in the story above was wearing Seven Jeans.
