I need to try and think up more ways of doing good deeds but I often don't seize the initiative on a daily basis.
No worries brother.... I didn't think you were being rude at all.
OK... here's my good deed for today.
Have you ever been in one of those situations where you have to wait in line with others... there's an OBVIOUS line but you see this one person who pretends to not know that the line is there?
They walk up to mid-line and never even look back and just wait for the slightest little gap to appear...then BAM ! ! they're in.
That happened this morning at the local convenient store... stopped in to get a Monster and some beef jerky.... probably 7 people waiting in line when i got in line.
Then the sidler appears and starts to make her move... well.... the first 3 people in front of me decided they weren't going to have any part of this and tightened the line. As the cow finally had to show her hand and acknowledge the other people...she made eye contact with a woman 2 in front of me...
"Are you in line?" she says
"Ummmm...yes...we all are"
The cow looks back and now decides that there is NO WAY she is going to the back of the line and declares "Well...I must be behind you because I know I have been here longer than all those people"... and she decides to squeeze in line. The guy she cuts in front of wants nothing to do with this and says nothing. The next guy...directly in front of me decides he does. He steps out of line...approaches this wonderful middle-easterner and says "The line starts back there" and he points to the back of the line.
She says "No way... I've been here longer than them...I'm in line HERE!"
Well... this guy grabs her and pulls her out of line and she screams as loud as she can and tries to get back in line in front of him.
Where's my good deed? Here's my good deed:
I watched as this middle-eastern cow screams and throws a temper tantrum until she eventually falls on the floor... we actually step over her to get to the counter...I'm checking out as the cops come in and I tell the truth.
She claims that the man threw her to the ground and beat her for "no reason"... I told the exact truth.
Short story long.... SHE went to jail and he was released and I was late to work.
