I was reading up on cryonics to see what current state of the art is and accidentally stumbled on this:
http://www.alcor.org/Library/index.html#religion

The lengths people would go to sell a product

Anyway, I thought the religious might enjoy taking a crack at the subject. I'm guessing smth along the lines of devil-conjured science potentially destroying the most fundamental parts of our lives (death that is)?

Did't read it but it is not possible as far as I know, it is a counterfeit attemp though to sustain life, counterfeiting the true eternal life that is actually available.

Rich people/atheist will go to great lengths to hopefully extent their lives or live forever but not simply believe and do it the easy way.

The other ways will never work, oh well someone will get rich off of the scheme and then lose their money probably by being sued.

So if someone offered you eternal life (as we know it) you'd politely refuse it for the allegedly better offer of eternal after-life? You know there are ways of dying without actually committing suicide (wreckless self-endangerment) and thus sinless, so what exactly is stopping you from doing that?

Most uninformed Christians think that eternal life immidiatelyhappens upon death, which if it were true would make some kind of sense to go there as quick as you can.

But eternal life is not immediate you are dead until Christ returns which could be today or 1000 years from now.

Also as a Christian you are given this life to enjoy and carry out responsibilities. So death is not a welcomed friend but an enemy, because in death there is no conciousness, no memory no work, no device, no anything under the sun.

Mind-boggling stuff. Given that there would be no consciousness, no memory, no work, etc after you die and before you are resurrected you personal feeling should be of dying and immediately waking up to hug your friend Jesus, so I don't think you made a case at all (I'm brushing the issue of what exactly is enjoyable about this life when in comparison heaven is soooo... well like heaven, under the rug).
