Batair do you feel like everyone should be able to do anything they want?

Do you feel that anyone should do anything they want as long as it doesn't affect other people?

If you answer no to any of these questions, what do you feel people should not have a right to do?

I believe that the instance where it is okay is very specific.

Oh, I'm not worried about it at all. I'm not a Christian, I was just asking about a particular Christian perspective on this issue because afaik the Bible doesn't clearly condemn masturbation. And if it doesn't, some Christians are agonizing over this issue needlessly.

(Still sucks having to confine your fantasies to your wife though. Sucks even more for those who aren't married.)

Perversion just means something that is different from the norm.
Who or what causes "perversion" is unimportant, as there is nothing inherently wrong with being different from the norm. The important thing is, that Christianities view of sex as filthy and perverted, has caused billions of Christians to suffer shame and self-loathing because of their sexual impulses; this is one of the major negative impacts of Christianity.

This seems to say that God is not too happy about early withdrawal. I’d bet he would be downright pissed about masturbation.

The story about Onan has nothing to do with masturbation. He disobeyed a direct commandment from God. Whether it was reasonable for God to slay him is another matter...

Anyhow here's a youtube video, from a pastor, which addresses this and basically his conclusion is that nowhere in the bible does it indicate masturbation is a sin:
