Please read my op and respond to it. This is just insulting me and I am left wondering what your point was

No reason to. You didn't say anything I particularly disagreed with in the op.

Come on now. The only word that isn't extremely common is "depricate," and it is a good word to know.

I agree religion shouldn't be untouchable, its just a matter of when you touch it. As long as someone respects your non belief i think that respect should be returned. I mean we all have some ideas that are a little bit out there. Just think its ok to respect believers overall, if not all their ideas.

BTW i actually don't mock people for their beliefs, I suffer in silence when they mention them, and get the conversation onto the state of the weather.
On here its a little different then irl in that everyone is challenging each others ideas and everyone mocks a little, no big.

What I do find funny, it the unashamed arrogance of both some athiests and some religious people, who think they are somehow above the other group. The idea that people dont respect others because they believe in God, and because they fancy themselves as "intellectual athiests" to me is ignorance compounded by arrogance. Guys like Einstein, Kelvin, Newton, Descartes, any thousands more have balanced a belief in God with their pursuits in science and philosophy. They were im sure a lot smarter than me and a lot smarter than most reading this. In short, some smart people believe in God. Some thick people believe in God. Some athiests are smart and some are thick. To think otherwise is a bit silly
Good post.
I dont understand how/why some of you guys continue to post on this forum, because it is the same old pointless arguement day after day.
Science will never prove there isnt a god, some people will always want to believe there is!

People make this or similar comments from time to time on RGT. I don't post here to persuade anyone, so the fact that nobody is likely to change their mind based on what I post doesnt really matter. I enjoy it, so it's not pointless.

Science is incapable of proving there is or isnt a god, some people will always want to believe there isn't!

It is also interesting to point out that those that make the claims such as the one your are referring, are never the posters who actually engage in the intellectual conversations in RGT

Sort of funny you posting this right after you took your ball and went home in the other thread when faced with the challenge or *gasp* actually explaining your position.

Also if i could pro bet you on this i would in a heartbeat. If there is a creator for this universe i would put just about anything down it will be science that finds that truth over religion.
