The Bride The Bride

The bride is the faithful servant of the man in the light, who is her groom. She follows him down into the world, and when he leaves to go back to the beginning, she calls to him from the darkness down below, in the midst of the world.

The enemy tries to fill her head with lies - that her husband has abandoned her, perhaps because she is not his true bride. He tries to tempt her with a worldly wedding with another man and a worldly life. When she stands firm in her faith, the enemy then responds by imprisoning and torturing her.

The bride will stand firm and persist but she depends on the human individual to clear the way for the man in the light to re-enter the world. If the human individual fails to repent, the bride will eventually lose faith, and the body she inhabits will perish.

Will the human individual show mercy on the bride and affirm the faith of the man in the light? This is an open question as each human individual is a co-author of the story.

Through her beauty, the bride holds great power. So many exploit her image for worldly gain while deafening their ears to her calls for rescue.

While the many are drunk and distracted in the world, she awaits in silence and solitude.
