I truly believe that religion is very harmful to society, it seems like an almost impossible task here in the U.S but even if we could achieve that here. How would we even begin to get rid of it in the more fundamental areas such as the middle east. I know a lot of winning players are smart and have to be free thinkers to beat the game, so I assume a decent majority of winning players are atheist (or at least closet atheists). Any one interested in setting up an "atheist poker fund" to help fund freethinking and education?

America and the middle east battle to the death. Rest of the world looks on as religion slowly peters out of the population.

You do realize Latin America is overwhelmingly Catholic, right? And that there are more Muslims in Indonesia than any other country? That there are almost a billion Hindus in India, and another billion practitioners of Buddhism and traditional religions in Asia? Not to mention, though largely secular, Europe is still fairly Christian, and most countries still have State Churches. So...

I think Christianity already has something to get rid of all beliefs accept their own. Its called the great commission.

The best way to eliminate religion would be to eradicate the VMAT-2 gene and rewire the human brain then ensure society and all human relationships are perfect.

Otherwise eradication is a "No go."

The only way I can see religion disappearing is if the incentive to believe was removed; perhaps if people lived indefinitely.

I really doubt that most people would genuinely have the conviction in their belief to choose b, expecting to go to heaven.

Times a big thing if we dont go extinct. Who knows maybe in another few billion years science will figure out how our universes was created (if it was). Maybe it will even find a creator

Like i said you dont need to start one. You already have a fund trying to eliminate atheism and all other beliefs.... its called the various churches, tithing, and proselytizing. You guys have had the funding for a few thousand years.
