The bible is a book the last I checked.

People oppress people. Been that way through all of recorded history.

There are no books on record taking action against people.

If you can find a book that got up and hit somebody all on its own volition then I will concede the point. Not til then.

holy failboat...he never said the book itself did it. go back and read it a few more times and maybe it will sink in.

You're partially right. I put Jack Nicholson's statement with Al Pacino's.

Here's Pacino's speech:

Uh yeah, if you're looking at it logically maybe not, but you can't just be putting everything in a box like that.

Why are you refusing to address the atrocities that christians instigated against buddhists as I pointed out in this thread?

She's gotta find the Wikipedia first, then click through at least three links within that article before she can come up with an irrelevant tangent. And if that doesn't work, it's not easy finding the least reputable source on the topic to back up what she wants to be true. This isn't easy stuff man, give it time.

I hadn't looked at it yet...is it a derail?

I looked.

I consider it a departure from the thread subject when this is the Atheist versus Atheist thread.

You can find instances of the Buddhists acting against the Tamils in Sri Lanka if you want to point fingers. But this thread was supposed to be about atheists versus atheists and why it occurs.

Cant have that, then she would have to admit Christianity has done wrongs against non believers.

I think he says it around 5:05 minutes.

Right after he says the path splits....

lol no

This is just silly. This might be acceptable if you weren't confusing a speech from your "favorite movie" with what has to be the most famous movie line of all time. But you can't even admit that you made an error when you're watching a goddamn video that shows you the reality.

Get out of my thread and stop being a nuisance.

If you can't hear it. Too bad.

As for my memory lapse drawing quotes from 2 movies instead of one...oh well.

And I did admit the misquote...you troll.

LOL...you are drunk...go sleep it off...he says it...Its probably my favorite sollioquy in a movie so I didn't misremember it.

And he says it..The part about knowing right everytime without exception but never doing it....

The "you can't handle the truth" is from "A Few Good Men".

thirddan was obviously referring to that line, so this was all needlessly confusing. Let's get back to the topic at hand. The mosque at Ground Zero or slavery in the bible or whatever it is.

Yeah, I was enjoying reading the debates and discussions on here since Splendour departed. Now I come back today and the entire first page is either threads she has newly created, old threads of hers that she has bumped, or interesting threads that she has ruined with her derails.
