The bible is used to oppresses women for a multitude of reasons. The verse you posted, is usually not one of them, and even if it is, is just one of many.

stop trying to be clever, its too difficult to tell when you are being purposely obtuse, or its just your natural ******edness seeping through.

The bible is a book the last I checked.

People oppress people. Been that way through all of recorded history.

There are no books on record taking action against people.

If you can find a book that got up and hit somebody all on its own volition then I will concede the point. Not til then.

I consider it a departure from the thread subject when this is the Atheist versus Atheist thread.

You can find instances of the Buddhists acting against the Tamils in Sri Lanka if you want to point fingers. But this thread was supposed to be about atheists versus atheists and why it occurs.
