I'm an atheist, but have nothing against Christians or people of any other faith. I'm not judging you at all, but I was just wondering, isn't gambling a sin? (Maybe it isn't, correct me if I'm wrong) Poker is considered gambling, and my uncle is a baptist pastor, and he is very much against gambling and poker.

So from a religious perspective, what are your thoughts on poker and gambling in general? How does god intertwine with your gambling?

No... it's not.

Neither is drinking.

It's when you do it excessively or to the point that your actions now affect others and you are no longer of a clear mind.

If you gamble your rent money away...then you are failing in your responsibilities. If you get drunk and drive your car into Howards single wide mobile home... you are risking lives.

You know why you always take 2 Baptists with you fishing? Because if you take one 1, he'll drink all your beer.

After you and JD's relationship went south due to Pidasso not being able to beat 1-2c for weekly hamburgers, JD decided to make a executive decision and hock the trailer for some more buy-ins. A bargain is a bargain even if the trailer smells like KY jelly and leather.

Protestants tend to be very against gambling and drinking, but there are some denominations that aren't (not sure which ones).

Catholics view most things as fine in moderation. Gambling they say it is fine as long as you aren't addicted or losing too much money that you put your family at risk of poverty, etc. It's just entertainment.
