Afterlife with no God? Afterlife with no God?

Is afterlife possible without the existence of GOD?

If so, why so many who claim to have Near Death Experiences (let's presume they are true) be any proof for existence of a specific GOD? I find it pretty silly that someone has a near death experience and all of the sudden claims Christianity is true , Jesus is real , etc..

In a lot of the near death experience stories ive read and watched the person either sees Jesus, heaven, etc or hell. Its prob hard to walk away from that and not believe in what the bible teaches imo.

some see only light , or themselves in an operating room, some see family, some see other stuff, so some do not see Jesus or GOD yet jump into conclusions that Christian GOD does exist..

That is because you, quite naturally, are more exposed to such stories from your culture.
People from Muslim countries who have NDEs see Muhammad; Hindus see e.g.Ganesha.

If someone with no prier knowledge of Jesus saw him in a NDE, I would be impressed.

Some people exposed to Christianity quite a bit claim to, yes (except for the hell part, I do not think I have ever read an account where someone claimed to have been in hell during an NDE). What is interesting is you never read about a Hindu or a Muslim seeing Jesus.

iirc, the reason for that is on death the brain releases chemicals (dmt i believe, hence why the hallucinations are so vivid) to essentially soothe itself and make the dying process pleasant.

a chemical release to make dying pleasant? i have no idea how evolution would bring that about - if there was ever a sign of intelligent design (hey that rhymes), then that's gotta be it.

That is an argument from ignorance if there ever were one.

There was one in the NDE thread awhile back, and there've been other accounts.

An afterlife with no god is possible but there is nothing that points towards it.

Can't explain it, proof of God! You're a scholar.
