I am a cash game plo who has also done very well recently in NLHE MTT's. I have been staked in the past and won 50k a little over a month ago and gave staker his 30k cut. Would like to let everyone know about this guy. I stake him 3k to play .5/1 and 1/2 plo and nl awhile back. He was up 3k or something on stake (playing lower limits) and then I hear from another person he posted a bad beat at 5/10 plo euro. So, I immediately contact him and am like wtf you're playing 5/10 w my money.

He says sorry, sends the 3kish back, and I warn other guys he may ask to stake him. He asks me for a 2nd chance i obv say no why would I etc.

He exhausts all his options, everyone knows he's a degen and he fails to find anyone to back him and he's broke. He begs me some more, I again lol and no. He offers me an option of treating the stake as a loan, where I'll get profits if he wins, and regardless he'll make sure that he pays me back all 3k treated as a loan if he loses it all. I sigh and say alright, thinking he's trustworthy (knows several of my friends personally in Austin, TX and goes out w them etc).

Anyway, have given him a lot of time and didn't hound him too hard. I find out he binked a 50k tourney and got to keep > 15k of it. I ask for my money.
He sent me a good faith payment of $500 on Aug 14th.

The other money he said he used to pay off 13k in credit card debt and booked a trip to mexico w his gf. I sigh and w/e, anyway see him posting hands playing 5/10 again a few days later so I'm like wtf are u doing playing 5/10 and not paying me my money, he assures me he doesn't usually play that high was just trying to get even (lol). I still say wtf, and then he tells me he doesn't feel entitled to pay me back.

My roommate tells me he's talking to him on aim, then find out he blocked me.. He's currently playing tourneys, responded to me in chat, and kept me blocked on AIM.

Cliffs: OP is a thief, fails to pay back owed money, owes me 2,500.

He has a new 2p2 name but I'm unaware of what it is, post in this thread if you know it. Also mods, IP check?

Appears to be gitwitit and vandy. I'm ready to ban all 3 of them at this point unless you'd like them kept around to try and elicit payment.

you found me. looks like i've been doing pretty well. i've sent you 1k btw and that was solely because yes, you did help me out and i felt bad about how the first stake went, but by no means do i feel i was obligated to repay 100% of the stake. pretty neat how someone can come on here and say so many things about a person/the situation and have absolutely zero proof of it. first of all, i have no recollection of this stake ever being treated as a loan(convenient there is no proof of this.) secondly, i was even staked by your old roommate in a ftops where i cashed for like 4k and instantly shipped him the appropriate amount. same with when i won the 50k on ftp, i instantly shipped 35k to the person backing me. same with the person who backs me now who i have shipped over 20k to him in the past month. all of this i have proof of and people to verify. im sorry if this was a misunderstanding and our stake wasnt profitable, but in no way did i steal money from you.

All right, I have to say I owe alv_/vandy an apology in that I seemed to have completely forgotten our PM exchanges. I was going on the assumption he hadn't responded as he hadn't in this thread, but we did discuss it via PM.

Regardless, I'm really not sure how much we can do from here as mods. I'm getting different stories from both of you; ideally you'd find a way to work this out.

I'd like you to try finding a couple people, maybe even one person with a good reputation to vouch for you as a stakee.

I can easily dig up the emails you sent where you sought out a stake from me without revealing that you had not repaid tommy yet.

I also remember how you were nagging me about starting the stake (before I knew about you and tommy) but wouldn't get me PT/HEM HHs as I requested. Which was quite fishy that you couldn't show me the proof that you were a winning player.

Also, it's pretty easy for anyone to look up your SNs on FTP and Pokerstars and see that you're just cherry picking your graphs.
