My name is Mario, or itsLONGINUS, and I am a Las Vegas native, long-time 2+2'er and I've been playing poker seriously for the past 14 years. With the recent surge in content creation and game sharing through social media platforms such as Twitch.TV, YouTube, etc. it has inspired me to jump in the mix and join in on the fun.
Before I get into detail about the proposed stake, let me give you a brief history of myself. As previously mentioned, I am a Las Vegas native, born and raised, 31 years of age and I have been part of the poker community here on 2+2, online and live in Vegas circa 2004. I've been a member of several training sites, primarily Deucescracked, and I pride myself in being a student of the game as well as a player. In my professional life, I am a licensed Mortgage Loan Officer here in the State of Nevada.
Growing up here in Vegas has given me the opportunity to meet and establish relationships with many members of the poker community both live and online. I'm not going to mention any of their names directly, but I will be asking a few of them to visit this post and say a few of their own words. Looking forward to that!
Being an online exclusive player across many sites from 2003-2007, I generated ~$100k in online MTT scores but primarily focused on my cash game play. I've played as high as 2000NL, finding a comfort zone somewhere between 200NL and 400NL, before slowly transitioning into live play from 2008-present day. Since Black Friday, all of my online play has been on Ultimate Poker (Rest in Peace) and now WSOP.com since their inception in 2013.
What I am offering is an opportunity to join me on this endeavor to conquer the VEGAS LIVE+VEGAS ONLINE CASH GAME world. The kicker to the stake is that the entirety of the stake will either be VLOG'ed on YouTube (Live Play) or streamed live on Twitch (Online Play) for what may be a first-of-its-kind staking/backing opportunity.
The entirety of the ONLINE play will be played and streamed on WSOP.com where you can find me on the username "marioesco". The LIVE portion of play will be done in several poker rooms around town, game-selection being of utmost importance.
As a cash game specialist, this stake will be offered for all live/online cash game action until the stake expires. The stakes that will be played to begin the journey will be as follow:
LIVE (MINIMUM HOURS PLAYED, 24HRS a week or 3x 8HR sessions):
1/2 NL & 1/3 NL
ONLINE (MINIMUM HOURS PLAYED, 12HRS a week or 4x 3HR sessions):
.10/.25 NL, .25/.50 NL & .50/1 NL
TOTAL TIME PLAYED WEEKLY: ~36 HRS
The parameters of the stake will depend on the amount of interest that this opportunity receives. I am looking to put up $1500 of my own dollars to contribute to the stake and would like to have another $1500 coming from the potential staking partners or backer. If this opportunity receives more than enough interest, I am willing to increase the amount of shares available. Any deviation from the aforementioned limits being played, or "shot taking", must first be discussed with the group and approved by all contributors.
I've spent the last year or so building my online presence on Twitch with a current follower count of 562 followers. The streams will be done professionally and the quality of said streams will reflect that. I've also done all of the research needed to put together a quality YouTube VLOG format for the live play and hand history reviews.
I have many social media outlets available to all of you to either reach me or do your due diligence, which I will list below. I am also going to provide a link to my personal Discord server where I am available 24/7 and can be reached immediately.
