I'm a student at Pitt hoping to play a lot of hands this summer and earn as much as possible. I'm applying for a stake because I cashed out most of my roll for tuition this semester, and was looking to speed up the rebuilding process.

I really want to study the game this summer and become a better player. Haven't really utilized 2+2 as a learning tool (mostly just lurk for laughs in BBV etc..). My plan is to change that this summer as I'll have plenty of time to review hands and post/read strat.


Here are my stats from January 08. The top set of stats are full ring. I moved to 6max because I grew tired of the nittiness and wanted to learn to play poker.





Before I cashed out for my tuition I was playing NL1 while taking shots and losing @ NL2. I was never rolled for NL4 or 6. I was just following a really bad player. The reason NL50 & 25 are mixed in further down is because I try to move down when I'm running bad to minimize my losses

I've read the marketplace guidelines and realize that I don't really have much of a shot at being staked, but figured it was worth a try.

With all of the uncertainties with the us on online poker at the moment I have decided to withdraw all of my funds for other business purposes. So that means I am now available for staking. Im looking for a longterm deal, and at some point down the line would like to crossover to live as well. Sorry to point this out, but MF6 that graph must be fake. Not one downswing in 30k hands of plo is amazing to me. You are either running like God's child or the best player in the world and dont need stake

This is the most ridiculous PT graph that I have ever seen. 30,000 PLO hands without a significant downswing absolutely defies logic.

This is why you should not trust people for a stake if you do not have prior contact with them on this site. Everyone will not be as sloppy as MF6 (epiphany86) was in his post... or maybe I'm wrong and you should stake him for PLO immediately because he never misses, like PT Barnum used to say...

My graph is slightly misleading since at the beginning I started at .10/.25 (as a challenge and prop bet) and the last half of the graph is 2/4, 5/10 HU vs select opponents. Im not at home now but I can post my splits per level as well. Also keep in mind this is usually 2-4 tabling at max and that this 30k hands is over almost a year. PLO is def high variance and I have had plenty of downswings, just need to filter the graph. I didnt post it as the end all for my being staked, more as a competence and experience in making and playing for good money, as I know for a fact stakers dont like putting people in play who are going to be scared by the stakes they're wanting to play.

Referring to whom I have been backed by, one of them was Timex, I still owe him makeup but he seems to be happy currently with a smaller stable of horses from this time last year. The other one I dont know if he wants to be posted about publicly because he was never a known mega staker like Bax/Sheets, Timex, etc, but he has said he has no problem speaking with potential backers or whomever about my character and abilities. This second deal we broke even on and then he withdrew from staking completely.

Let me also state that I do not NEED staking. I am going about staking again with all of the uncertainties with the UIGEA and online poker as a whole. I also have upwards of 60k in ghosted winnings and I can go more in depth with references for that as well. I originally planned on handling all interest through PM's and aims but I guess too late now. From this point on though id prefer a more personal Q/A session so that communication is as clear as possible. Thanks for all of your time in reading and hope to speak with some of you soon

I understand that most people posting on here are full time online players looking for a stake, however my case is the opposite. I am a full-time live game player looking for a stake. I have been traveling all over the world for nine of the last 12 months and my bankroll has been decimated. I play 20/40 limit on a daily basis and three times a week I play 50/100. Remember, these are live games I play, not online.

Looking for someone also who I could discuss the differences of live and cash game with as well.

--According to DB I have a 10.04% FT ratio; I play to win and expect to make some serious profit off of this opportunity should it arise.

As I am a student first and a player second currently I have never really been able to grow an adequate online roll to play MTTs of this buyin often. Also, as the majority of my action is privately back that obviously has a significant impact on my personal earnings. However this makes me very familiar with the staking routine. I have reviewed the suggested 2+2 terms and they look quite appropriate, I would be willing to enter into a similar contract. Unfortunately I am also battling my way through some slight variance atm and sattying simply cannot be a priority. My past 2 months results after a 33 days self-exclusion are the best ever in MTTs due I believe in large part to the overhaul i executed on my game during said exclusion. I feel that I am able to do well in buyins and fields of this size despite a small, and unimpressive sample. I do have success in the $50-$75 MTT range however.

i would like staked in large buy in tourneys online and offiline. i live in las vegas and play poker for a living. i am a grinder i play sngs primarily online. i currently have been 12 tabling sngs continuously on ftp and am 2nd on the leaderboard and 16 tabled for sng madness on ftp and won my division 2 of the 3 times they have run sng madness. i am just looking to play tourneys with the most +ev%. sundays wsop whatever staker thinks is best for both its your money. i am sure long term i can make someone money because tourneys have the softest comp of all forms of poker. you invest the money i invest the time. i never have much more than 5k online at a time so never have taking the time to play tourneys. and i am a huge br nit so never have roll to make tourneys worth my time. i play 7 days i week and would prefer to be staked for anything < 75$ but will to talk about any other propositions.

I would like to get staked into MTT's on PS or FTP. My onlineroll is from minimal to none becouse of various reallife reasons. Ive been playing small mtts (5.5-22$), but would like a chance to play 33$+ mtts along small ones now. I have played only about 400 MTTs in total and have 7k$ in profits and 14% overall roi.

Ive been backed for MTTs before by an AIM friend and made him some money by f.e. placing 3rd in the 27.5$ 25k on Stars.

I came across this thread recently. My name is Neil Tyler and I play under the name "TheOracleAA" on Pokerstars and Full Tilt mainly. I currently live in San Diego, California. I played poker full-time from January, 2008 (following my move to San Diego) until the start of my job in early March, with great success.

Throughout my career, I have played mainly on Full Tilt Poker as well, but took a great deal of time off from the site, mainly playing PokerStars during 2008 and only returning to FTP about three weeks ago.

Due to my great interest and success in poker, I intend to play professionally full-time for at least the next year. I have made arrangements to move from San Diego to a house in Las Vegas for the WSOP and summer months this coming summer, and will be stopping work in the next few weeks. I specialize in MTT's, a style and game that I truly enjoy and feel that my skills and interests really suit. Therefore, when I play professionally, beginning mid-May, I will only be playing MTT's.

To get to the point, I am posting here in order to look for backing during the WSOP across a variety of events, but mainly for the bigger Rio WSOP events. I have created a schedule for myself that would cost just above $10,000 across 15 events, which include 3 $1500 WSOP events, a variety of $300 and $500 events at the Venetian and Caesar's, the $1060 main event at Caesar's in July, and a $540 satellite to get into the $5k Venetian main event. I also intend to play satellites to the WSOP main event and other events, both at the Rio and online in the coming months. The schedule that I have created and my intentions to play these events during this summer are unrelated to whether I find a backer or not.

You can find the majority of my online results at the link I previously provided, but I have shown a great deal of live success as well. Two weeks ago, I won (chopped the final table as CL) Event #1 at the Pechanga Casino in Temecula, CA. The results of this tournament should be posted on CardPlayer in the coming days, but my cash in one of the two Venetian Deep Stack tournaments I played last year can be seen there already. I have also played 30-40 other daily live tournaments across the nation over the past two years, cashing at a higher rate than I do online in my estimates.

But anyway, that is the rundown of my results and experience. I feel that I would be a great candidate for backing. I am mainly looking to be staked for bigger buy-ins in the live arena this coming summer, and possibly longer if a proper arrangement and relationship can be established. I currently have a comfortable and sufficient bankroll to play all online MTT's across all the sites, so I am not really looking to be staked online. As I said, I have created a live schedule for this coming summer that I am comfortable with, but would love to be able to play larger buy-in WSOP events (other than the 3 $1500 I have chosen, one of which I qualified for through the Pechanga win). If this arrangement is possible, I would obviously forego many of the Venetian and Caesar's events in order to play more Rio events.

I made a post earlier about mtts, but going to make a new one about sngs now. My strongest game are the 18man turbos and I have played ~500 of them so far.

I watch videos from pxf and savvyplus all the time. Read p2p every day and trying to get better all the time. This would be a great opportunity for both to make money + the staker coaching me at the same time to increase the profits.

I am looking to be staked for the Full Tilt Online Poker Series in Stud Hi Low. The tournament is on May 9th and is a is is a $200+16.

My username is As2s3s4s5s on FTP and I specialize in Stud 8. I have a 104% ROI overall. My ROI specific to Stud 8 is 140%. I have 7 Final Tables, 2 Wins, and my in the money percentage is 35.5%. Considering those number are over 31 tournaments, 7 FT and 2 wins are pretty darn good. Link to OPR at bottom.

You may have to ask why as winning player I would need to get staked as I often ask those I stake: What went wrong with your bankroll? Why do you need to be staked? Well my reason is that I am a senior in college and tuition & board costs over 40k / year so virtually everything I win is frequently getting withdrawn to pay for that. I have no room for dedicating significant funds to poker even though I'm a winning player.
