I'm looking for backing in mid to high buy-in trnys online. I have had alot of success in the low-mid trnys but most of my winnings are being used to pay for school. I don't have a lot of volume because of school, but starting in May I will be putting in tons of volume.

I am constantly trying to improve my game, and I think it has shown in my recent results. I final table at a fairly consistent rate, according to thepokerdb, I ft 4.78% of the time on pokerstars with an avg field size of 1572, and 6.84% on full tilt with an avg field of 591. I will be happy to give hand histories and any other info one deems necessary. PM if interested, thanks for your time.

Looking to be staked to play 200NL HU.

im looking for 1-2 ppl to coach and stake at 1/2 or 2/4nl 6max.

I am considering getting staked to play the higher SNGs ($60+) on Stars. I have played mainly the $16s the past four months, running at 16% over 2k+ during that time. I usually play 16 at a time, but would be willing to play the same amount at a time, or significantly less, if that's what a backer wanted. I would rather discuss the length of the stake and percentages with only serious potential backers, so please pm me if interested. My screen name on Stars is deeznizzies, that is the only place I play. Sharkscope me for stats.

I am looking to be staked at $50+ online.

I am a solid player with a good ROI and lots of scores
(two 3r wins on Pokerstars, a final table on Party Million back in the days, among others).

Feel free to check out my stats on officialpokerrankings.com, thepokerdb.com and sharkscope.com:
xthewall on Pokerstars
x theWall on Ongame (pokerroom etc)
gimmeahug on Partypoker.

If you want to review how I play, watch some of my tournaments on pokerxfactor.com. My nickname there is gimmeahug

PM me to discuss further.

Well might as well post something. Im trying to decide if I want to live in Vegas this summer. I decided I would move out there if I can get a staking deal for the limit events, the mixed NL/Limit events and the Main Event. Im basically a limdonk but also play donkaments on stars under TeeJayOrTj. Besides, limdonks are good at tourneys.

I'm looking for backers to buy my upcoming action in the Five Star World Poker Classic / WPT Championship, at Bellagio, which runs April 2 - April 26.

Currently I plan to play all the NLH events; I'm trying to raise 70k to cover all of my buy-ins, including some expense money and the possibilty of satellites. (The total cost of the non-satellite buyins is $66,620). I've sold some action already, but due to the size of this event and the necessary amount of money to raise, I'm going more public than I would normally.

$1000 will buy 1% of all cashes; if I raise all the money I'm trying to, the backers will keep 70% of the cashes and I'll keep the rest. All interested parties are welcome to buy as much or as little as they want, and the price may be negotiable for someone who wants to invest a larger amount of money.

There are 12 preliminary events ranging from $2100 to $5180 in buyins, and then the $25,500 main event. (Here is the total event list.) The super-satellites are $2620 buyins. I'm going to try to play a few and win a seat in an attempt to keep overall costs down. (Of course, if I can't win one, I still need to raise enough to cover a buyin into the championship.)

I may take a day off from a tournament if I feel burnt out or that I won't play well. In this case, I'll try to fill something out with a satellite, so you get your money's worth. But basically, I reserve the right to not play when I feel like I won't play well, although I will do my best to make sure your investment stays in action.

For those of you who don't know me, I've been playing tournament poker for a living for some 2 1/2 years now, showing consistent success online even at the highest buyins. (Once, I made it all the way to #87 on Pocketfives' tournament player rankings!) I don't play a high volume compared to other players (although I have in the past), but do put up results when I am playing. I play as "Cap'nJackpot" on Stars and "Tony Pisser" on Full Tilt and UB. A brief rundown of major wins includes the UB 200k in May '07; the Stars nightly $150 on three occasions, three Stars $109 rebuys, the Full Tilt nightly $150, winner-take-all Aussie Millions package, and a scattering of other deep runs and scores.
I've also had previous success live; while I don't have the exact numbers, my estimates for buyins put my ROI at about 200% in live events, and you can see my cashes here on Cardplayer. Whereas many online players don't like live tournaments, I prefer the live game, and feel I am better suited to it-- I don't get bored or impatient with the pace, and I learn a lot from my interaction with the players. I don't tilt easily when I'm playing in person.

For those of you who do know me, you probably have some idea of my game and what you think I'm capable of. You know how I play when I play well, and I'm committed to playing well and staying in physical and mental shape during a series. I don't drink when I'm out at a live series (as people who played and stayed with me during the L.A. Poker Classic can attest). I know my reputation precedes me, but I've learned a lot from my past experiences, and I take tournaments seriously enough to prepare my best.

So PM me if you're interested, and we'll work out details or how to best arrange / transfer money. I should arrive in Vegas April 1 and play as soon as the 2nd if things are going well.
03-28-2008 , 04:08 PM
(Also, should someone read this and have the means and interest in striking a longer-term staking deal, I'd be interested-- but right now my primary concern is the upcoming event at the Bellagio.)

Hello all,

What I am looking for: to get staked in the Stars Nightly only

Reason: already staked for most MTTs by a well known player

My screename on Stars and FTP is tnhooper45. I must admit that my overall ROI is negative. If you specifically look at my stats in the Nightly though, I am positive ROI. I am also up 5 figures since I began playing seriously 3 years ago. I have final tabled the Nightly twice. Also, I chat with many of the top players on AIM. If you need a few references I can provide some folks who know how I play. Thanks in advance.

Hello all, i'm in need of a stake to get started again. My nicknames on a few sites i've played were Pennybag$ on Interpoker (Prima), and Fhil Ivey on Full Tilt. I ran up an 800 dollar deposit to 150,000 in two years before I tilted it away. My limits were NL400 and NL1000 and I have played over 3 million+ hands. I don't have my Pokertracker database anymore but I can say I was a winning player. If someone is willing to back me I offer to pay back + give 100% of your investment in a month or less.

I want to grind out the 6$ sit and go's if anyone wants to stake me. Can put quite a few hours in at the moment. PM if interested in this big $ investment!

What I'm looking for: I live in Vegas and would like to be staked into the higher buy in($1000+) live tourneys when they come to town. Specifically in the near future, the Bellagio has a series of events from April 2nd-26 and the WSOP begins in late May.

Why I want a stake: I have a long history of playing too high for my bankroll...and I mean way over it...like I've had my entire roll across 3 or 4 tables before or bought into a tourney for about 15% of my roll. When I moved out here to Vegas 6 months ago that changed(for the most part) and I'm now much better, as I realize that I'm no longer in college and need to be smart about supporting myself doing this for a living. Therefore, as weird as it is for someone like me to say this, I'm a bit conservative regarding buying in for some of these tourneys. I think I most definitely could handle a $2000 buy in, but to be honest I'd rather just not risk it until my bankroll is even higher.

My online tournament results: This thread, while created half jokingly as a way to brag, actually does a good job of laying out my credentials I believe. Nowadays I mostly stick to playing my online tourneys on Stars, including 3 final tables($109rebuy, $109rebuy, and $55rebuy) in the past 3 days.

OPR currently lists me(sn is "jwvdcw") as the #158 tournament player on Stars out of 463,609 players and #245 out of 874,302 players across all sites.

Note: Just to make all things very clear and so I don't look like I'm trying to hide it- If you sharkscope my Stars name, you'll see that I'm down I think close to $30,000 in SnGs. This is because I used to play $5000 Heads Up Matches, and while that amount of money may seem like a lot to many, being down 6 buy ins is really nothing to write home about. Most of my actual SnGs(meaning full ring ones) were back in the Party days when I was a regular in the $215s and later the high limit steps under the names of IcyPots, a605296a, and AssaniFisher(I didn't multiaccount, they let you switch your name every 6 months) and was most definitely a winning player there(sorry no exact records though).

My live tournament results: In January of 2006 I won a satellite into the Borgata for the $10,000 WPT ME. Unfortunately I bluffed off my stack with AK on a Q high board and JJ called me down on every street. In the summer of 2006 I played in about 7 or 8 WSOP Events IIRC and I got two small cashes. One of them I was simply shortstacked and pushed with any two and got called. The other I lost with QQ in a 3 way pot vs A4s and 77, in which I would've been close to chipleader had I won.

I have about 7 or 8 final tables of small live tourneys out of probably 60 or so entered(obviously not a sustainable rate). No wins though, but I think we did chop 3 times. I think the biggest one of these was a WSOP 2nd Chance Event in which I chopped 4 ways for around $7000.

My cash game results: I'm not asking for a stake into cash games, but I'll include this for completeness' sake....I was a lifetime winner at $10/20 NLHE on PartyPoker according to Pokertracker(again I'm sorry but no exact results as I only had PT on my other computer). I don't play much NLHE ring games these days though. I'm a lifetime winner at all levels of PLO8 on both Stars and Tilt. I've recently started playing some PLO on Stars and am up about $10,000 at $25/50(which is what I was talking about earlier when I said that I only have stayed good with bankroll management "for the most part", as I probably should only be playing $10/20 with my current roll but it seems like that game rarely runs so I always find myself moving up to $25/50). I am a regular at the Wynn playing whatever the highest game is there(usually only $5/10 but its uncapped and I buy in big)....don't have exact records, but I'm certain that I'm up quite a bit from there in the past few months.

What kind of deal: Willing to negotiate.

You can read more about my poker history in MY BLOG, which I post at footballguys. Contact me either via PM or via instant messenger screen name "jwvdcw", although preferably via PM first so I'm certain who I am talking to.

Lastly let me let you all know that my pots are extremely icy. Honestly, sometimes I tell people this and they think they understand....but really you don't. I mean REALLY REALLY icy.

I'm looking to play in the following LIMIT Hold 'Em events at the WSOP and would like to sell part of my action;

Limit Hold'em (Event 12) Jun 6th
No Rebuy/Add-ons
Structure Sheet $1,500

Limit Hold'em (Event 20) Jun 10th
No Rebuy/Add-ons
Structure Sheet $2,000

I am a "rakeback pro" at 3/6, 5/10 and 10/20 LHE, but am also a winning player. I am winning at 2.77bb/100 over my last 30k hands (reformatted HD, it would take work to get old databases) and 3.21bb/100 over my last (w/ 5k hands of 7-9 players at 3.21bb/100). I was a 1.4bb/100 winner over the 110k hands prior to these on my now dead laptop (mind you, these games rake more than 3bb/100). Here is my graph (including all hands, so lots of HU and short handed);

The following is my data filtered for 4-9 players;

It is worth noting that because of the terms of my rakeback agreement, I am unable to game select and still show these results.

I'd like to think that I'd have a large edge against the field at these events. I spend a lot of time on all of the LHE forums here and play a lot of hands.

I don't have any relevant LHE tournament experience.

I am looking to sell $2.5k of my action and thus only having 2/7th of my action.

I would sell in peices that are $500 or $1k (slightly more because of fee) if you're interested, but that gets pretty complicated. I would rather sell all $2.5k (+ fee) to one person.

Terms would be; you invest in a x/7ths of my action (up to 5/7) and receive 90% of x/7ths of all cashes.

For example, if you invest $500 and I cash exactly $7k, you would be returned $500 * 2 * .9 => $900.

As for the live aspect, I've played at least 100 sessions of live LHE at 4/8-15/30 at Canterbury w/ good results (not well documented). I feel very comfortable at a live LHE table.

I'm graduating college in May and will probably be entering the work force soon, I don't really see myself having the time to play the WSOP events anytime soon other than this year, so I really want to get out there this year. However, I don't want to eat the costs of travel to play one event. I could afford to pay for the entirity of both events, but relative to the stakes I play it'd be a somewhat stupid gamble, of which I am averse.

If you're at all interested, please PM me.

I know there are trust issues in this type of a thing, so I'd be willing to do whatever you'd like to ensure trust. I would be willing to escrow the amount of money you're investing in online dollars with a very trusted poster until it has been shown that I have entered the tournament and not scammed you for money.

I only just saw this marketplace forum, checking forum as cornell keeps saying dont get scammed! check internet gambling for listed scammers to make sure also

I can vouch for muagatu T Skaloni, he sent straight away from when i staked people in the sunday 100k tourny, and he even sent before I asked and too much lol.
GL to all stakers and stakees in here
Do the Mods think you could make the do not stake avatar for people you think shouldn be staked? that looks like a good idea

All,

Looking for a long term MTT stake, preferably on Stars, but I will play on FTP also if necessary.

I've had good success and some big scores playing $22-$162 freezeouts in the past year... my OPR is basically shot due to my last stake allowing me to play 55r, 100r, 200r.. and I was pretty overmatched.

However, I do have good success in those medium freezeouts and I also feel like I am +EV in the Sunday Majors.

Essentially, I'm looking for a stake for those medium-high freezeouts, not to include any rebuy tournaments as of now.

I especially feel confident in my skill at shorthanded tournaments, so I would also consider a 6-max/4-max only stake.

I would also consider grinding SNGs, as my lifetime sharkscope is pretty decent and I am pretty sure that I can beat them over a long sample.

My name on stars is nutshot2 - OPR, PokerDB, and sharkscope stats available upon request via PM.

Any questions, concerns, suggestions, or ideas can also be directed to me via PM.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Mike

edit: I'm pretty flexible and I'm up for playing pretty much anything on any schedule... so PM me and let's talk it out

This is a repost from a couple weeks ago, I still have some left to sell, but my first live event is tomorrow and I'm not taking on new investors once that begins so pm me by tonight if interested.

I am selling 10% pieces of myself for all live mtts at standard backing with makeup(50/50) I have 30% left to sell. I will not be playing $10ks unless I am up and everyone would like to take a shot, but I will be playing the WSOP Main Event and possibly the WSOP $10k Limit(Though I can sell some off) I will mostly be playing $5ks(think circuit mains) and lower.

I will grind hard starting in April with the Indiana WSOP Circuit which will include a couple 300s, few 500s, a 1k, and a 5k. If I go to New Orleans in May it will be similar. WSOP will be around 50k in buyins. This deal will not stop after WSOP, but through then I will have 60k in estimated buyins so any 10% piece could stand to lose $6k at most if I brick everything through the summer.

I have a very strong live record with $224k in cashes including a circuit prelim win this year. In 2008 already, I played 4 tourneys in Tunica cashing a $1k in 18th, I played a $1k MegaSat to the $10k winning that, made day 2 of the main event but lost big flip. In San Diego, got 4th in my 2nd event for $6k, then won my third event for $30k. In Venetian I cashed 1 of 3 events getting 12th in a $1k. I was profitable last year for WSOP cashing 4 of the biggest events including both $1k rebuys, the $5k, and the $10k main event totaling over $80k in winnings.

Here is a link to my Bluff Magazine Profile which can also link to my pokerdb, my usernames are "mattster24"

http://www.bluffmagazine.com/players...er-profile.asp

online-Stars $370k winnings/$84k profits
Tilt-$187k winnings/$51k profits

I sold pieces for live backing last year and have references if need be. I also back players myself and actually used to have around 10 guys so I am very accustomed to backing/being backed.

pm me if you are interested in taking a 10 ball

looking for a stake of any amount for any limit (micro-stakes). ill take whatever i can get

just looking to finally dedicate to a grind as i am not looking to be working the next few months. need something serious in my life without work and i havent played poker in a while and definitely am missing it. i have been playing for 4+ years but was a live player in a home game that ran just about daily for almost a year and relatively regularly for about 4 years. just recently started playing more online and am definitely interested in improving/tweeking my game by playing a large amount of hands (40,000+/month).

am most interested in a micro-stakes full ring stake.
you can sharkscope my name (futtocked) and im about 99% positive i am a winning player overall in mtt's and stt's on pokerstars (albeit extremely small, once again i am more interested in a cash game stake).

here are links (didn't want to make post too big with pictures) to a graph and stat screenshot from the hands i have played on pokerstars thus far:

http://s161.photobucket.com/albums/t...rent=stats.jpg
(^^ STATS, picture wasnt come up in preview for some reason)

i have only been staked once by a friend for $300 (actually it was more of a gift and a return was not expected by the friend) which i returned promptly after winning an omaha donkament for $500 (OPR) way back when after which i just played occasionally until i recently cashed it all out to pay a bill that i no longer have to pay.
adding to my lack of credibility - i am looking to play on FTP only for rakeback purposes (thinking optimistically here)

-because of my lack of experience and credibility i understand the caution that one would have to take in this situation. please pm me ANY concerns or stipulations you might have if you are an interested staker

i am also open to critique of my above stats and any related points/flaming blah blah...

...thanks for anything
