Ok, not sure if this has any chance of being taken up, but I'll take a shot.

I'm looking for staking for the WCOOP. First some background on me:

I'm 40+ and a retail manager. I'm also a moderator on another poker forum. When I was coeerced into moving to Arizona in 2006 (by my girlfriend), I agreed as long as I could take a shot at playing poker for a living instead of immediately finding a new job. Despite the fact that I knew I was not properly bankrolled, I figured once I did find a job my chance of making it as a poker player would probably be gone. I played for a little over a year, and was a consistent winner, but because I didn't have the roll to start, I was never able to funnel enough of my winnings into building a roll, and what I was winning was only enough to live basically. The highlight was winning $5K WSOP packages in back-to-back months from Absolute (and then waiting 3 days for them to decide if they were going to give me the second). At the end of the year I threw in the towel and got another job.

A couple of months ago, I began getting the poker bug again, so I started playing freerolls on Absolute. After cashing in a couple for a total of about $1.50, I played micro-stakes to get it up to about $10, when I started playing in the $1 and $2 tourneys. I have been running very well, much better than I was in the days I played for a living. The main difference is a bit more guile and patience, and a bit less stubborness. As of right now, I'm sitting on a bankroll of about $3500 (and I've taken at least another $1500 out for a couple of unexpected expenses).

As of right now, I am playing $20-$100 online tourneys on AP and UB and doing well. Eventually I will hit the $50K goal I have set for myself to where I can quit working again and play poker full-time. In the past I would have said 'what the heck' and used my bankroll to enter some WCOOP events, but I am trying to be more responsible. If anyone is interested in some kind of staking deal, please get in contact with me. Willing to entertain any type of fair arrangement, but please be serious.

finished up a successful backing through 2+2 and now staked for turbo mtt sngs on stars but since I haven't been able to put a lot of volume in this summer im looking for a stake on the side on FTP to try to scrape some money up before school starts up again. Im looking for 30 buyins to run 50 playing $26 45 mans on FTP at 50/50 + sb. I've been strictly playing low limit turbos since the beginning of this year and my stars backer is a well known professional sng player. my stars sn is qpac09. pm me if you are interested.

Looking to sell some of my action in the upcoming APPT Macau tournament. It's a $3200 buyin and I'm looking to sell around 50%. Here is my Stars OPR, screenshot taken minutes before this post.

I have also been concentrating on HU recently, and am a 5.6ptbb/100 winner at 200NL over 25k hands, and a winner at 400NL over a very tiny sample (600 hands or so).
As for live tournament experience, I have played a few but the only one which had a similar structure to Macau was the Melbourne Championship Main Event two months ago, where I finished 56th out of 667 players when my KK lost to AK for almost double the average. It happens. This cash can be found here
I will be selling my action at 1:1 rather than giving myself any extra. I'll be selling shares as low as 5%, ie you give me $160 for 5% of my total winnings. Anything lower than this it gets kind of complicated but if I'm struggling to sell I will look for lower percentages
I am Australian so all my winnings are completely tax free. I'm also pretty sure that winnings from the tournament can be deposited directly into my Stars account. If this is the case than payouts can be sent very quickly. If not, it's still relatively easy to get money online over here so shouldn't be too much of a hassle.
I have references of people I've traded with and sold action to in the past who I'm sure can vouch for me. Screenshots of my HU winnings can also be requested.

First come first served!

Probably should have provided OPR:

Lookin for a live stake for the 2008 victorian poker championships. Its got a great schedule, great structures and promises to be super soft. I am delaney_kid on tilt and have around 30k in prizes and 15k in profit and am quite an active member of the MTTc. PM me asap if interested as this thing kicked off today! http://www.crownpoker.com.au/Assets/...20Schedule.pdf

Here it goes. Looking for a temporary stake for a few of the upcoming FTOPS events this month (and maybe a few other tournies.) Life and school got in the way and put a dent in my time and bankroll. If anyone wants to talk shop feel free to send me a PM.

Below is my Full Tilt and Stars Mtt OPR data. (stars is an old screen shot but I've hardly played it in 2008 so the data is pretty accurate.)

And Bonus for anyone still reading. A final table from an old $163 55k on FTP. I ran good, played ok (little passive) and had a few interesting hands once it got down to 5 and less.

Hello,
My name is Christopher and I figured I would give this thread a shot, as I am looking to play at the higher levels to which my current bankroll management wouldn't normally let me.
I have been playing online and live for a few years now. My game of choice is Stud Hi, although I also am well read and experienced in Razz, Stud 8 and a little O8 as well. I am a college student so I don't have a regular job to which I could deposit and take shots at, otherwise I would have done so by now.
My regular game is .25/.50 - 1/2. I am currently grinding .50/1 and 1/2.
I have had great success through these limits and been a regular the the stud forum since I joined.

So mainly I am looking for a stake in the limits of 2/4 - 5/10 Limit Stud Hi.
I am also looking for stakes in the upcoming Stud Events in the FTOPS and WCOOP. I have been staked before in a few of the Events in the FTOPS. I really believe I have a huge edge in these events as most of the people who play them don't really understand the advanced ideas of the game. I have had decent finishes.
Anyway here is a graph of my current bankroll grind (I have cashed out other rolls to pay for college expenses and Ski trips with the school )

Would just like to say I would love an opportunity to play higher and whoever is interested in backing I appreciate your interest!
Thank you for your time,
Christopher

Hey Guys,
I've decided to sell %s of myself in the WCOOP events this september. I will try to play every event, except the 25k Heads up event. Obviously some of the events, like the big NLH events, I probably have a very big edge (I would think well over 100% roi, maybe higher), and some of the events my roi is less, but I believe I am +ev in every tournament. However I do not want to deal with the stress of having to put up 40k over the series of events, and think it will be a much more enjoyable experience if I sell action. I think 1.5-1 is a fair price, and all profits will be sent back via PokerStars. Thanks again for everyone who backed me in the 50k HORSE, and thanks in advance for anyone who helps me out for the WCOOP.

I will be going to turning stone...i am looking to be staked...i already have some shares sold, but am looking to sell more...i have plenty of people on this board that will vouch for me and i have a decent track record in live mtts...nothing that is posted on a site like hendon mob, but from local card rooms and have played a few wsop events...If you want to talk about prices for shares, let me know...thanks...

Hey all,
I am going to start looking for a backer for essentially all online tournaments I play up to and including $1k's (and an occassional 2.5k and the WCOOP ME). I grind a decent amount as everyone probably knows and am running low online and have a little bit of a liquidity issue due to some pending real estate deals I am looking into. I'm open to all sorts of deals, so PM me if you're interested and we can talk. WPThero on Stars / FTP, jurollo on UB.

I'm looking to stake micro-limit players on FTP.

Trust is the most important thing to me. Precedence will be given first to people I know, then to people with solid recommendations and 2+2 community members in good standing, and last to anyone else.

After trustworthiness, I'm looking for good players. The longer and better a playing history you can provide, the better.

I will stake 1-5 players. I would want daily updates and daily payouts to start a deal, but once we have a relationship we can work this out. Split would be 50-50. You must have PokerTracker or a similar application. I'm very busy these days, so expect some back and forth before anything gets off the ground.

The IDEAL candidate:
* has a 30k+ hand sample of winning poker
* is stuck paying the crappy rake at 10NL on Full Tilt due to BR considerations

If this is you, drop me a line and let's put you into 25NL!

Please email me at "KurtSF_2p2@yahoo.com" to be considered. Remember, this is for FTP only (right now) and nothing over 25nl or $11 STTs. Please include name, age, relevant poker history, what you want out of a stake, expected weekly volume, and of course all the stats and graphs to support your application, plus anything else you want me to know.

Thanks!

I am looking for a stake. I am going to post my graph and if you are interested you can PM me to see other PT shots and we can discuss the terms. I think this is a great oppurtunity for anyone looking to make money who has a big BR. I am really hoping for a 25/50 cap stake but if you can't handle variance and dont have that kind of BR to stake me with, 2/4-5/10 6max may work. Thanks.

This is 38k of 5/10 6max with 48k in winnings there. Its about 5k on 10/20 fullring and 6max with about 15k winnings there. There is some 400 and 600nl with little profits and some 6max 25/50 with little profits. I am down a few K on smaller sites. All the rest of the winnings are 25/50 cap.

Hello 2p2,

My name is Paul Dlugozima and I have been playing poker for over 5 years now . Im looking to 2p2 to help me in getting all of my action sold for Turning Stone, I have $2,000 or so sold offsite and need $3,000 more.

I have had decent success in local card rooms with field sizes of 50-200. I have also played some WSOP events, which includes bubbling the $1,500 Limit O8 in 2007. I play a lot online and I have shown to be profitable. My OPR ROI and profit are low because I get staked into the Sunday mil and such, which brings down both when I don't cash.

My style of play is tight aggressive in the early stages and loose aggressive in the late stages of MTTs, but know how to exploit spots well. I play a lot of SNGs, so I know end game strategy pretty well, and know small stack push ranges well.

Some success I have had at the Seminole casino in Florida and the local track includes winning a $45 MTT for $1,450, chopped a $60 MTT for 900, Chopped 3 handed for $1,300 and chopped a $45 MTT for $1,200, as well as winning a bunch of the 50 man MTTs they host.

I know a few people on here in real life and they can say that I am trustworthy when it comes to money. If you are interested, let me know and we can talk about the actual legistics of the deal and what not.

Here is a list of events I will be playing:

2 Sat Aug 16 NL HE 300+40+10

3 Sun Aug 17 Deep Stk Turbo 300+40+10

4 Mon Aug 18 NL He With Bounties 325+40+10

5 Tues Aug 19 6 Handed NL HE 300+40+10

6 Wed Aug 20 NL HE 500+50+10

7 Thurs Aug 21 NL HE 1000+70+10 DAY 1
FRI AUG 22 NL HE 1000+70+10 DAY 2 4PM

Fri Aug 22 MEGA SATELLITE To 5k 1040+60+10
1 out 5 to Main Event

Fri Aug 22 Super Satellite 520+30+10 7PM

10 Sunday Aug 24 10 AM Deep Stack Turbo NL HE 500+50+10

I'm looking for backing in the WCOOP and/or FTOPS bigger events. I can afford to put myself in $320s and below but would be willing to sell action in those also if it puts me into bigger action. I have around 500 posts in the MTT strat forums

70/30 backer/horse cut.

Notable cashes include Sunday mill FT, FTOPS stud ft, WCOOP Stud8 ft, more than 10 $109 fo fts including 2 wins, and hundreds of other fts.

I am a 400NL player looking to stake/coach microstakes players(25-100NL). I would endure any losses and profits will be split 50/50.

Stakees will receive coaching. I will almost always be accessible for simple hand review and we will have at least 1 intensive coaching session per week.

Potential stakee's should PM me with the following details:

1. Details of your play, whether a screenshot of pokertracker or whatever other program you use.
2. Why you are applying for a stake/coaching.
3. How many hands you want the stake to be for and why that specific number of hands.
4. In what time period you will play these hands.
5. Verification you have AIM & a microphone. You must be personable.
6. Brief Personal Biography
7. What site the proposed stake will be on
8. Any references

Further details of the arrangement will be PM'd back if I like your resume. I will supply statistics/verification of my coaching abilities and good play in the same PM.

Good luck

I guess I'll throw my hat in here. I am looking for a one-month stake which would consist of either atleast 30,000 hands of $100/$200 NL or atleast 150 $24+2 and up NL MTTs. The reason I am only looking for one month is to see 'if I still got it.' During 2006 I grinded several hundred thousand hands of $200 NL for an average win-rate with RB. Unfortunately none of these hands still exist on either of my computers, due to numerous reboots and ignorance for not saving them. If this first month of proposed backing is successful I would certainly be inclined to continue beyond it.

Some memorable moments of my grind include taking a one-buyin shot @ 10/20 when I had a 15k roll and getting all-in with a set against two higher pair on the turn and losing. I also got all-in pf with AA against two people with KK at an integral moment in my bankroll rise and lost to their rivered straights. I basically took 2007 off and after finishing school in late 2007, I turned my last unspent FPPs into a tournament score and ran it up a bit on PLO SNGs. I withdrew the majority of that to help stipend my RL bankroll after playing impatiently.

I then took a few more months off to just enjoy life a bit more, and try to expand some of my other hobbies. I have a 30hr/week job that pays me $3000/mo but things are still tight. I can have the majority of my evenings to grind out an above-average profit at low stakes NL.

I think right now I am more enveloped in a grinding mind-state than I have been in over a year and am more prepared to grind it out hard; I have started working out daily which definately enhances my confidence and stability. I have dual monitors and full PT/HUD functionality.

My Pros :

1. Have never been prone to monkey-tilting or exorbitantly moving up limits.
2. Am feeling better prepared and more focused mentally than I have in recent memory.

My Cons :

1. No references. I'm really the only one in my social circle who plays seriously. I have only met one person from 2p2 and that was a brief encounter.
2. Nittiness. In cash games I have left a small profit on the table in terms of my starting hand requirements and aggression. I am looking to remedy both of these symptoms by recently suscribing to two training sites.
3. No PT data. I'm a computer guy, and an ex-gamer; which means I am a habitual formatter. Unfortunately my foresight didn't enable me to save any of my past PT databases, some of which were large and would have been seemingly instrumental in gaining a stake.

A deal involving NL Cash Games would include my RB into earnings, at a 60/40 Horse/backer split. I believe the RB would stipend that 10%. I would also play 1-2 $24+2 large field MTT's while grinding Cash.

A deal involving only MTT's would be a straight 50/50 split and would not include RB into earnings.

Of course I am open to any and all offers and stipulations. I have vent and AIM and and cell-phone and am willing to openly converse and discuss hands with proposed backer. I also will be posting hands and discussing them on 2p2 daily, and will be overall be maintaining a larger participation in this forum for strategy purposes during said backing.

FWIW, I would probably prefer to grind Cash than MTTs. However this is fully up to the proposed backer. I am probably more accomplished at MTTs but Cash seems to be a more consistent earner.

Ok, I'm still looking for backing into the WCOOP, but I also find myself off from work this Sunday, if anyone is interested in backing me into the Sunday Million. I am Phantomshark on Absolute and Ultimate Bet, if anone wants to look up my recent tourney successes on Poker DB.

I threw a little money onto Stars yesterday to mess around, but because of their new depositer restrictions I have to wait 10 more days before I can deposit any more, otherwise I might just sign up anyway (even though it's a bit outside my bankroll comfort level right now- I've been playing mainly $20-$100 MTTs the last couple of months). For more info on me look at my post in this thread from a week or 2 ago.
