hi i am so cash busto right now (thanks to withdral issues) and need a live stake in vegas very bad. I am a supernova elite on stars have won over 500k in stars tournies and am a reg in mid stakes 6-max NL. I just need 2 grind out a few k to hold me over am willing to play 2-5 or some on the smaller tournies around town. I am willing to do a stars transfer for my initial stake or if i lose i will work it off online on my own roll. I am also using all 30k for nova elite in the wsop this year so i would be willing to sell a piece of myself i hate playing live but am in a tight spot and need to grind.

LOOKING FOR A STAKE:

I have made ~12-15K playing online poker over the past 1 1/2 - 2 years. Began playing about 3 years ago, originally playing $5-10 SNGs. Majority of winnings came after joining the forums ()--> I joined, got PTracker + PAHUD, and was soon beating 100NL 6 MAX. Few months after I moved to 200NL and made approx. 10K of those profits at this level. Cashed out entire roll last summer/fall to buy a sportbike (lol i know), but more importantly to focus on school this year. Tough decision, but school has went well...

Alas, about a month ago I started 'lightly' grinding 50NL, deposited the little money I could afford (600$) turned it into $1300. The other day I cashed out again, GTA4 and Gran Turismo 5 came out so I bought a PS3, plus since springs here it was time to get the motorcycle plated and safetied etc..

So I don't have much $$$ left to play with. Im looking for a stake of $500 min., and am open to play either cash games or SNGs. I have $500 to add to my BR also if need be, or if those terms are what you would prefer. I think I would prefer SNGs as Ive had success there aswell and would play the 16s or 20s more comfortably with a $1000 BR then I could at 50NL. Would like to play on Stars.

I am currently looking for a WSOP series stake. The group who I was planning on getting backing from has lost a large amount of their BR and no longer has the money to start new investments.

I am currently planning to buy my way into $20,000-$30,000 worth of events on my own dime, but I'd much rather have a backer that allows me to play events over the whole summer. I am really only interested in backers who can allow me to focus the summer on winning a bracelet. I am willing to offer great terms to a backer that gives me that chance. I will play under a deal that extends past the WSOP.

I have results in live tournament play, including two 14th place finishes in 10k WPT championships, and when I was traveling the circuit last year I began to grab some media attention(still staying upbeat while being card dead all day.) I started to focus on cash games after traveling for a few months and since then I have not been traveling to play tournaments. I spent the year focusing on improving my game and becoming a solid cash game player, but I still play some tournaments and I feel very strongly of my ability to crush most tournament players.

Why you should stake me

Lifetime winner on the professional tournament circuit. I have a very strong drive to win a WSOP Title and am willing to sacrifice the entertainment value of the summer for a chance. I already live in Vegas and have a stable living situation and am very comfortable with the city.

I was a shortstacker, and I understand 20-30bb play better then almost anyone, beating up to 25/50nl regularly. That experience has really made tournament play easy for me, and I'm a better tournament player for it.

My reputation means the world to me. I have friends and known 2p2 members who can vouch for me, including multiple who trust me with 10k+ on a handshake deal and my word.

why i need a stake

i let my roll get wayyyyyy to thin this past semester by going on a couple trips and plain not playing as much as i should have been, then wiped out what was left by running and playing horribly while playing too many tables in an attempt to grind it all back up.

as you can tell, a few failed attempts at 14 and 16 tabling continuously really sunk my stats (and bankroll) but now i know i'm not spacegravy, and i can live with only playing 12 tables at a time if that's how i'm going to maximize my hourly.

In the coming months I'll be free to take several trips to AC and/or Foxwoods with my friends that are home from school. I'm interested in playing some tournaments and would like to be backed, if possible. I would like to play tournaments $340 and up, or live sng's, on a stake. These would either be Borgata or Foxwoods tourneys, which all have good structures.

As far as live results go, I have played in maybe 5 or 6 live tourneys in my life (due to school, irl money needs, and other things of that nature). I know I can beat live cash games, as I've done so pretty consistently.

I feel that my decent online MTT success and my somewhat large volume of tourneys in the past 6 months has instilled the basic and some advanced tournament concepts, which will transfer over well against live donkamenteurs. (i.e. i know what i'm doing, they don't)

I'm open to a bunch of different arrangements, and I'm willing to talk over anything you have in mind, so PM me and let's talk.

I am up zillions in plo8/nlo8 cash games but I dont play tournaments with over 100 $ buy-ins . I wuz staked twice for those events and cashed both , for some reason I just dont feel too well when paying over 100 $ in tournaments even tho I played 1000s of 100-200$ heads up sit and gos .

The standard deal is 50/50 of account winnings. I start everyone off smaller and the stakes can continue and get larger if you prove yourself.

Umm, I guess I'll give it a shot as well, whats the worst that could happen, other than utter embarrassment.

I'm a regular at the 90 person turbo KO sngs on FTP. My sn is dlong226 on full tilt, nemui on stars, vcai15 (formerly) on paradise. The stats for FTP are a little skewed because they don't count KOs, which are 20% of the buyin. I probably average a KO or two every tournament. I recently moved up to the 26's and have had difficulty getting a top 3 spot. Its mostly variance and sample size for why I'm not winning right now. But thats not the problem, I'm rolled for the 26's.

The real tournaments I'm interested for stakes are for live tournaments in LA. I'm turning 21 in a couple weeks and I'm looking for staking for the live tournaments with buyins ranging from 75-200 dollars. The live tournaments at casinos play to my strength as I'm competent at turbo tournaments with smaller fields.

The staking arrangement could last anywhere from 1 tournament to the whole summer. I'm very open minded, honest, and dedicated. I've never degen busted my roll or anything like that. I've just been slowly building my roll. The only reason I'm looking for a stake is because I'm not rolled for the games yet.

I am also vice president of the biggest college poker society in UK (lol, local celebrity) but as a consequence I play live poker at least one time a week, often twice on trips to local casinos. I've also won various tournaments at my local casinos with zoo-like standards much similar to how I anticipate the WSOP to be.

I'm sorting it now because I have exams and then i'm straight on a plane.

If I don't play an event i'll transfer money back (obviously).

I believe that a staking thread is not effective if serious potential backers have to dig through a ton of scammers and unknowns in order to find a horse.

Stake your mod for the WSOP!: I am interested in discussing proposals from a single backer who would like to take all of my WSOP action or from people who are interested in buying pieces.

I was initially going to try to find a single backer to put me into the whole event but a few people have already come to me expressing interest in buying pieces so I am going to explore that option too. If I sold shares I would like to sell them at $10,000 each though I might consider selling half shares if there was interest.

The Tournaments: I would like to play all of the NLHE/PLHE events. I believe that I am easily in the top 10% of each field and that my ROI in each of those events is rather massive.

I also have some interest in playing PLO, while I think that I am +ev in a PLO event my edge isn't nearly as high as what it is in hold'em. I will probably play the PLO events on my own but if my backer wanted to buy me in for a higher percentage of proceeds (with makeup) then I would explore that option too.

I am looking to play in ~23 tournaments with an estimated combined buy in of $70,000. But I would be willing to play up to 32 tournaments ($100,000) or possibly as few as 13 tournaments ($47,000).

Why should you invest in Cornell Fiji?: If you read HSMTT you know that I am in the top 10% of expected ROI in any WSOP nlhe field. My understanding of the game rivals anyone.

I have been hired to write a book on HSMTTs (which should be out by September) and the book will be the most cutting edge tournament literature every written (not that that really says much tbh.) I excel at taking advantage of first level thinkers ('tourists'), and also at analyzing and setting up those who are operating on a much higher level. Obviously, I can also do equity calculations, ICM analysis, and pushbotting, squeezebotting, trapping, and just generally take +EVmax lines at every opportunity in my sleep.

I have been taking time off from playing as I write my book and pursue other business interests but I have remained an active participant in the HSMTT forums and I am a firm believer that when going into a tournament grind like the WSOP it is best to come in off of an extended vacation rather than an extended grind.

I am primarily looking to enter into a relationship from people who already know that I am +ev from our conversations on the game but I would entertain opportunities from people who have been referred to me or who I do not know as well (especially if you come with references).

Integrity: My integrity is beyond reproach. I have dozens of references who can vouch for me if you would like further reassurance.

Additionally, I will take my responsibilities to my backers very seriously. I am not going to the WSOP for a good time; I am going to the WSOP to win. I am not going to play cash games if I bust (though I might play juicy satellites as negotiated) and I am not going to be going to the Rhino every night. I love to party and I love Vegas but during the WSOP I will be there to make money.

I've recently switched from sng's to cash. My sharkscope graphs are pretty sexy, beastiemik on FTP and beastiemiked on Stars. PM if you want to see my cash results. I don't play that many online mtt's as I'd rather concentrate on other games where there's a lot less variance and more money to be made.






I'm sure I'm hugely EV in almost every WSOP event. The play that I saw last year was laughably bad. The $1500 NL events probably play the same as $10 online tournaments. I feel not playing in them is giving money away but at the same time I don't quite have the bankroll to stomach some of the swings.
