I'm looking for a backer to play the sunday majors, any or all of them would be fine except the larger rebuy ones. I play cash games for a living but have had some decent success in tournies. You can check out my stats on stars under strawberrie2 . I make good money grinding but would really like that large score like everyone else looks for. Hopefully me and the backer can find something that is mutually benificial. PM me if at all interested or would like more information.

I'm looking for a stake & coaching deal from an established player. I'm a cash game player and have played nl50 -> nl1000 with the bulk of my play being nl200-nl400.

I've been playing full-time for 2 years & am currently playing nl200. The stake would be for nl1000.

These are my 6-max results for the past 18 months.

Graph in dollars

Graph in BBs

The reason why I'm not playing w/ my own money is that my bankroll isn't large enough to play that high. Although I've won a fair amount, all my expenses come out of my bankroll. I'm also fairly nitty with bankroll requirements.

I'm an honest person & a few people can vouch for me. I did quite a few transfers for people during the neteller fiasco (over $50K worth) see thread for details.

Finally, the coaching is as important for me as the stake. I think I'm a decent player but the right mentor could take me much further.

PM me if interested.

Looking to stake 2 people at 100NL (6max or HU). NO REFERENCES = NO STAKE don't even bother PMing me if you have no references.

Please PM me the following answers:

Please answer these with the answers next to the corresponding question numbers:

1) Do you have any references? If so, please name their twoplustwo names and their AIM contact information.

2) What kind of stake are you looking for? Game type and limits?

3) What types of games have you beaten in the past?

4) Why are you in need of a stake?

5) What is your name/age?

6) Do you have a scanner?

If someone has the money iStrong looks like a good bet.

lol... the jump from 200nl to 1000nl is huge imo. probably need to get staked like for 65/35 or 70/30 to make it worth the coach's time..

dtan05,

I've played some nl400/600. I doubt the jump between 400-600 and 1000 is THAT large. I'd be willing to consider 65/35 split w/ the right mentor.

Looking to sell some action for the upcoming WPC $3 mil guaranteed $1k buyin on pacific. This is looking like it'll have a sick amount of overlay (some people are saying $1 mil...at the very least we're looking at 500-750k) and US players aren't allowed. They're running a ****load of satellites to this so for a 1k buyin it should be very very soft.
Stars OPR
I've done last longer bets and run stakes before for a bunch of people in the MTT IRC channel (#hsmtt) so a bunch of people in there can vouch for me.
Lemme know

NL 400 and 600 are full of people who play NL 400 and 600. You say you've put in time there so I assume you know that the game plays fairly loose a lot of the time and is beatable. NL 1k plays a lot tighter and there are a ton of pro's who "could play higher, don't care to" sitting on each and every table. In my experience the skill level is somewhat comparable but NL1k plays a lot tighter and is much tougher to beat.

Id be interested to know if more than a few people have actually entered into staking deals via this thread, or is it very few and far between?

THanks, Strong. Wanted to make sure that if I post my stats at least someone will be looking, now if I can figure how to do that.

I have good numbers for mtt and Stt, the latter which I have been focusing on more in the last 6 months(my first 1000 stt reflect a suicide jump from $25>>>$215, 4k later I moved back down). I would like a staking arrangement to play 5-10 tournaments >$100...obo(50/50 with payback). I would definitely like to play this Sundays $530 on stars. Here are my stats. Screen name given on request, serious inquiries please. (Also finished top 400 in 2006 WSOP Me).

Hi, I'm looking to get staked for MTT's $20-$50 on Stars. Have started playing more seriously this year and have mostly been playing the $4/180 mans on Stars with an occasional shot at a $10 MTT. Hopefully there is someone out there that is willing to give a low-stakes MTTer the chance to breakthrough to the mid-stakes and beyond.

JUST IN CASE YOU MISSED MY POST:

SHARKSCOPE: 3600+ games; Avg.Stake $48; Avg.profit $6; 14% ROI; $20k+ profit
Last 2600+ games; Avg stake $52; Avg profit $9; 20% ROI; $23k+ profit

Basically some of the more compelling numbers on this thread.

The moderators of this forum are not in the business of censoring posters who would be horrifically bad investments.

Make sure that you do a thorough background check on anyone who you choose to stake including getting references of their character as well as obtaining evidence of their play by sweating them and/or reading their hand histories.

Make sure that you also research their pokersite usernames and their twoplustwo name and make sure that they have not been involved in any scams in the past
I just wanted to repost this to remind any potential backers to do a thorough background check on anyone who you choose to stake.

If you are staking someone who you do not know and trust there is a significant chance that they will steal your stake, misrepresent their earnings, or participate in other unscrupulous practices.

There is also an elevated risk that honest players who don't post in the strategy forums are simply losing players. You can learn a lot about how someone thinks about the game from the strategy posts that they make on this forum. Staking someone without that knowledge is ill advised.

Staking is a risky business when you are involved with trustworthy winning players. Participating in a staking arrangement with someone who you can not trust or whose abilities you are unsure of is a highly -$ev proposition.

I have a serious staking opportunity for those who dont mind taking a little risk for good returns.

I am Hyi_Vam on Stars, many saw me playing or played me. I usually grind 400NL-1000NL 6-max and occasionally take shots at High-Stakes HU games.

I first started taking those shots when i was way underrolled for those stakes, and used no game selection (played a lot of tough 5knl regs), however I ran ok at that time and made some money. I kept doing the shots troughout last couple of month and believe I am quite good at those stakes when playing HU. Out of fairness i must admit I am not doing so good in 6-max and FR HS games, I am killing 6-max up to 2000NL tho.

Lately I did start to game select carefully (lerned my lesson from a few terrible sessions in the past) and now only play if I see a resonnably big edge in the game (it might be a random fish or a non-so-good regular who is easy to exploit). Lately I also exercise good stop-loss management. Even tho its always a different amount depending on the game I am joining (could be 2 stacks or 7 stacks), I always set it prior to the start of the session and follow it most of the time.

I am not gonna say that I dont tilt, everyone tilts. But I do quit when Im on tilt, and never go for those degen break even or busto sessions. I admit I used to, in the past and I worked on that a lot for a few month. Novadays I might lose a buy-inn or rarely more when I shouldn't, - due to tilt, that is so, but I will quit for the day after that and sometimes even enforce a 24-hour ban on myself .

Also, 1 more bad thing about me is that I dont really ever exercised decent BR management. Thats just how I am, thats bad etc, but If I saw a good 2knl HU opportunity where Id have a big edge Id jump into it on a 15-20k roll. I dont jump into those games due to tilt, only if i see a good spot, and when I do I always play my A game and concentrate to the max.

Here is my PT Shot for my High-Stakes games since Jan 1, 2008. Those are HU only:

I ran quite bad at 1knl (27 buy-inns below EV).

This year I made 2 big cashouts, 50k and 75k) both of them I gave to my mother to invest for me. After I get up to certain point I alway get chicken and cashout, leaving me w/ an online roll to gring MSNL. After I made the last cashout, a few days ago, I left myself w/ arounf 25k online and lost 20k in last 2 days.

So now i have 5k online and not gonna take any shots w/ that obv, dont really feel like depositing since its a pain to deposit 10k+ amounts (almost impossible imo). So I have to pretty much gring MSNL for a few weeks/month and I reeeeely dont feel like, since I already know I can beat HS.

So here is my proposition, I want a stake for 2knl HU only, Stars. I think 20 buy-inns will be enough to not go busto if I initially run like ****. So thats $40k. Rules:

- I will play only 2knl (or lower) untill my roll reaches 80k, then I might take 5knl shots, but only if i see a very good spot and w/ strict 2-3 buy-inn stop loss.
- I will play only HU (max of 3 tables, most of the time 1-2)
- I will exercise good game selection and stop loss
- I will play a total of 50 000 hands on this staking deal, then the deal is over.
- I will pay 50% of my winnings to all the stakers + stakeback obv (calculated at the end of the 50k hands period)
- Stakers will cover 100% of my loss if any (calculated at the end of the 50k hands period)
- I have 60 days to play those 50k hands, if i dont make it the deal is over after 60 days and the profit/loss is calculated and distributed regardless of the hand count.

- Total Staking amount is $40k, divided into 16 equal shares of $2500. I will immideatelly purchase 2 shares on my own w/ my 5k online. So there are 14 shares available.
- Any share purchased today will go at its original price of $2500. Tomorrow the price goes up to $2600, after tomorrow - $2700 and so on.
- If all shares are purchased within a week the deal starts.

- To purchse a share (or a number of shares) transfer the money to Hyi_Vam (Toronto) on Stars and send me a PM. I will start a blog w/ frequent updates on how i am doing and will give every investor my contact information (anything you requirewithin reason) and stay in touch as much as I can.
04-30-2008 , 05:37 PM
Some more clarifications:

- If Im by any chance am stuck 15 buy-inns I stop playing and redistribute the leftover money between stakers.
- If I will not collect the needed sum in 7 days strting from today i will return all the money to those who did invest and cancel the deal.

Hi. I'm posting for a PLO micro/small stakes stake. I am not busto but would like to play higher. I am looking for a stake for .5/1 6 max or 50 max HU. I am fully confident I can beat these games and have in the past. I included a sample of the last few months from my database. Even though I ran horrible at 100 max I still believe I can be the game easily. I have about 30k other hands of experience at 100 max and 200 max on bodog where I'm over a 10bb/100 hand winner.

I post regularly in PLO forum and have played with the many of the regulars a good bit. I play on stars. I am always looking to improve my game, and plug leaks. I am looking to play around 30k-50k hands a month for the summer. I currently play 25 max plo and cash out constantly to pay bills ect. If you interested please pm me and I can give you my aim and we can talk a possible deal.

Yeah well if anybody had an interest, I would give my screen name. Very ez to confirm it is me.

It just seems that either nobody has an interest in staking, the staking is really for <$10 tournies, or the inflow of new posters asking for stakes dilutes the reasonable posts in this thread.

I mean my sharkscope numbers are goldstar at a relatively high buy-in and sample size, my OPR numbers are good as well, and so far not even a nibble.

i've been in touch with 3 people in this thread with regards to staking them so its not like you aren't being watched. no stats = no stake, no sn = no stake, no references = no stake
