Hi guys, I hope this isn't too much the wrong forum to post in about this but I haven't been active for a while and thus don't currently have access to post in the staking forums. Anyway on to the question:

My friend and I have a cash game staking deal. I am down in makeup a ways and busto on the current stake. I offered to match my backer with an infusion of money to the bankroll but we don't know how to handle it in terms of makeup if we did that. Anyone have any ideas?

If there is a better spot to post this also, I am happy to repost elsewhere. Thanks!

Let's you and your backer both agree to put in $X. You pay your backer back $X of the markup you currently owe, and now you have a new bankroll of 2*$X (of your backer's money).

Thanks for the reply. The only issue I have is that I don't owe the money in the sense that I would pay him back with my own cash which is why it would feel weird to effectively do so. It's extremely important to me to be fair to my friend. What about just setting a new marker where I own part of the makeup if we drop below our current position, but also don't profit (though able to withdraw my money if we end the deal above where we are now) until I am out of makeup with him.

Hey Guys,
I’ve been staking/coaching the player ‘Arvid2k7’ over the last year and a half.
Recently he has become quite deep in makeup (+10K), and had a decent amount of my staking money across a few sites. I asked him to transfer back a thousand of this on blackchip and he has since disappeared. I have messaged him about 7 times over the last 6 weeks without response (at which point I believed he had abit of 2K on blackchip and around 4-5K on party). If anyone knows some details on how I can find him could you please let me know. I know he is also close with the zoom500 player DennisGPunkt and I know Dennis used to stake him. If anyone knows how to contact Dennis, could you please contact me too. Arvid if you see this could you please contact me right away..
Regards,
Alex

BRS has some allegations of being tied to Party Poker in a less than transparent manner... this should have stayed in NVG for others to post if the site has truly closed.

I suggest that you get both a player's share and investor's share. So your normal share is 50/50 split he has 100% investor's share you have 100% player's share. Let's say he originally invested $5000, and now you are both going to invest $2500.

The total investor's amount is $10,000, of which you would have a 25% share. So you would have 50% of the profits because you are the player, but also an additional 12.5% of the total profits because you have a 25% investor's share. So you would get 62.5% of the profits.

Wasn't sure where to post this, so apologies if this is the wrong place. Would appreciate opinions..

I've been offered access to a site in another country (I'm not based in the US or anything) and 20k roll, they would also play on it as well occasionally (but results kept seperate). I have known this person for a few years. I would be staked and pay 50% of winnings. However, considering if I win a bunch I wouldn't need to be staked forever, I would want to have my own money at risk (after a while) and give less %. Obviously he needs to take 50% for some time to make the risk worthwhile

I'm thinking something like 50% until I make 10k, then he takes his 5k, and keeps my 5k which is now my bankroll, and I keep some % (75-80?) from then. If I lose my roll, i can revert back to original arrangementand start over,
No idea if this is reasonable numbers, %'s, even idea overall. Thanks for any feedback!

The thing to do is at some point break the bankroll, and then form a new bankroll.

With a professional gambling team, the traditional breakdown of % is 50% for investors and 50% for players. So in your present team, you are the only player and receive 100% of the player's share (50% of total profits), and your friend receives 100% of the investor's share, (50% of the total profits).

So let's say you form a new bankroll, with 30k, 20k from your friend and 10k from you. You would still get 50% of total profits from your 100% player's share, but then you would also get 1/3 of investor's share for an additional 1/6th of total profits, giving you 4/6th of all the profits.

Hey, got a question, if someone stole money from a stable, how can the stable sue the horse? Or can the stable do that. How can they get their money back. Can they go to the horses' address and ask for payment?

Regards,

A niinja is a fighter skilled in the martial art of ninjutsu. Interpol is a police agency in Europe.

You're being trolled a bit, probably because your questions seem a bit silly.

How do you sue someone? That would depend on the country you're in, and this really isn't the place to get good advice on that.

Can you go to their address and ask for payment? Well, of course you can. But if they're not willing to pay you now, what would change if you go to their address?

I see, where should I ask questions then? I'm talking about big stables like, bitB, Smartspin, etc.. Can they legally sue people?

You can legally sue just about anyone.

Well yeah you can, I mean, but will it win in any court at all. Here in our country banks can't do anything if their clients do pay them, in credit cards for example.

What's the purpose of these questions? Are you planning to get staked and scamming these stakers or what? Do you think its feasible stakers in europe will open a court case in india over pennies? Do some research on google and use some common sense.

Regards,
I think when you were linked to this thread (where I've now moved the rest of this exchange), the hope was that you might change up the questions a little given the feedback you've gotten so far.

No idea, unless we know what happened. There's not one answer that's going to cover every possible situation. But a little hint - the stables here are constantly posting negative feedback about scammers and starting "xisathief" websites, but rarely do I hear of lawsuits. My guess would be that it's not often worth the time and expense.

Is there a real situation behind all of these questions?
