Hello MP, Matt Spina here potentially looking for a short term 1 month staking deal (and coaching if available) that includes either a mix of mid-stakes cash and MTTs or just cash games. I currently play on BCP - poolplayagrinder and on Bovada and am open to other skins (US friendly). Obviously if Bovada was going to be a part of this staking deal screen shots/teamviewer etc for backer would be included. I do not currently use a poker tracker and keep my tables down to a maximum of 4 or less for more focused grinds. By doing a short term 1 month deal both myself and my backer can decide if we want to continue into a new staking deal that is +EV for both of us after the month is over.

My 2+2 history:
- I’ve been a member here since 2010 and received my first staking deal from Colin aka theprezence here on 2+2 in May of 2011 for a profitable and great overall experience for the both of us.
- In 2013 I started investing in the MP on many players for both online and live (mostly online). In the last three years in the MP on 2+2 I have done hundreds of transactions totaling thousands of dollars with 0 issues. I have a ton of references who could vouch for my integrity in terms of dealing with finances as well as references in regarding my play. If anyone would like for those references I can ask them to pop in and post their experience when dealing with me.
- Just one example of my integrity is here in 2013 where I sold for a cash game stake 1 week stake. I stopped after multiple sessions as I was not overall happy with not just the results but my play in general so I refunded all my investors in full. I did not have to do that and I would be willing to guess very few members on here would do the same thing if a mini stake did not go well.

- I next did some more work on my game (in particular my mental game) and in 2015 I decided to make a return trip back to the WSOP to play in 3 events where I was literally a couple of pay bumps from having back to back profitable WSOP packs after placing 60th in the DraftKings. Once again it was another great experience with a deeper run at the WSOP. My mental game is so much stronger having studied and worked on it over the last year.

WSOP – 5 events played over 2 years, making 3 day 2s and 1 day 3 with 2 cashes including 1 top 100 cash

Fast forward to today and I am married, and my wife and I just had a baby in March (mini brag). I am a family man and I never drink when I play poker. I take my investors/backers money seriously and have no problems throwing my full real name out there. On this site you will notice some people just post a screen name, or maybe a first name when posting threads like these, but I am beyond confident in my integrity which means the world to me, so I am an open book in terms of who I am to the people I deal with on a daily basis.

Why am I seeking a stake? I work a full time job and now that I have new “dad duties”, I will be spending a lot more time at home helping out there. I would like to potentially play some online to try to make a little supplemental income. I withdrew pretty much all my money off of BCP and Bovada using it toward savings/wedding/regular bills/dog vet bills/etc. I have experience playing comfortably up to 100/200NL online and up to 3/6 in PLO8 (and just a bit in 5/10 but very small sample size). Those are my two main games and I would like to add a few MTTs to the mix as long as both myself and the backer find them +EV to the staking agreement. I also welcome coaching as I am a student of both games and always keep an open mind when talking about poker. If I do not get a stake that is perfectly ok. I am just checking if there is interest out there.

Please keep in mind that this will be most likely a somewhat smaller volume stake as like I said above I like to keep my tables down to 4 or less since I don’t use a HUD (but I do take notes on players) as well as I will be continuing my dad duties at home and of course working my full time job 40+ hours a week. I also do not play if I don't feel I am 100% mentally and physically which is very +EV for both myself and my potential backer. I can vouch for Matt that I have dealt with him for several years and thousands of dollars in transactions. He is not only trustworthy but also incredibly easy to deal with and get along with. He is a true student of the game is always looking to improve and help others improve. He is truly one of the good guys in poker and definitely a good investment.

Hey guys, it is 2018 and I am looking to possibly re-open this back up. In mid-2016 I was staked for a while with Imawhale and we ended the stake a bit early due to my living conditions changing. My wife and I had decided to have a house built and then had to move into a temporary living condition (in laws basement eek). This was not the best scenario to try to grind in some hours in poker with this setup and having a new baby in the mix so we both agreed to put a halt on the stake. I was in a small profit when this happened and the stake was an overall solid experience for me. I made sure to be prompt with all my updates and all communication, and I made sure to follow their staking guidelines 100% of the time. They can respond to confirm this if need be.

Fast forward to 2018 and we have moved into our new house and I am motivated to get back into playing as well as my training. I want to go back out to the WSOP when the time is right. I talked to Imawhale first and they are currently not looking into adding new players, so I am re opening this to see if there is any interest. Once again please note I am a lower volume player with working a full time job and having a toddler now (she turns 2 in March). My family and work come first. My playing time would be an estimated 30-40 hours a month probably tops at nights and maybe a few hours on the weekend. My games of interest include either 25NL/50NL with a goal to move up to 100NL, and/or up to 2/4 PLO8/NLO8…possibly add in a satty or two tournament wise. I have thousands of hands of experience in most of these games (a little less experience in 2/4 PLO8/NLO8 but still comfortable playing at that level. The sites would be either BCP or Ignition, but I am open to other suggestions. I am also interested in coaching and am a student of the game always looking to improve. I have a ton of references if need be on my character as well as financials having done thousands of dollars worth of transactions over the years on 2+2 in the MP.

Once again I am an open book so PM me or post here with questions. I don’t “need” a stake, but I am just checking to see if there is interest as I would like to play for some supplemental income. Thanks for looking.

I've decided unless my backer wants otherwise, to focus on NL for now. Hit me up with any questions/comments...probably looking for 25nl/50nl to start with coaching if possible (but not required). In terms of the length, my initial post talked about 1 month, but I am open to talk about a longer one now that we are settled in the new house.

1 month bumpage...I just finished Jonathan Little's "Small Stakes Poker Cash Games" book and I am going to type of the notes I took before moving on to my next book which is either re reading Tendler's the Metal Game of Poker (great book), or Jonathan Little's book - Mastering Small Stakes No-Limit Hold'em: Strategies to Consistently Beat Small Stakes Tournaments and Cash Games.

My confidence level is fairly high with the open cup/mind approach I am taking. I am thinking a $1k roll for 50nl (plus coaching if available) is where I want to start and throw in an occasional low level buyin nightly tournament or sng (due to having a toddler). I will use my normal 3bi stop loss which is adjustable depending on staker's request.
