East Coaster Seeking Full-Time Live Cash/Tournament Arrangement East Coaster Seeking Full-Time Live Cash/Tournament Arrangement

Hey there, I'm Tom G, and this is my thread in hopes of potentially finding a long-term mid-stakes cash and/or tournament backing arrangement.

A little about myself. I am 32 years old, live in northern CT, have been taking poker seriously for over 10 years, and have played full-time professionally for a total of 2 years. And when I wasn't playing cards full-time I worked in the Solar industry and on the side as a web developer.

Why I am Seeking Backing:
I've always been self-rolled. Slowly worked my way up thru the stakes. When I choose to take a shot at playing full time, I did so on a very limited roll, but along with very stingy bankroll management skills, I still managed to run well enough to grind out a living. Due to a sudden life expense that arose and no sudden up-tick to cover me, I had to go back to my sales job that I, like most others in the world, secretly hate.

It's a miserable feeling knowing you can make money doing what you love to do, but just don't have the capital required to invest to do so.
The risk of ruin is too high for me on a limited roll, as most of you already know. And not being able to play regularly honestly breaks my heart.

Why Stake Me:
Well, the obvious answer is because I crush mid-stakes and can make us both some money...lol But who isn't going to say that...
In reality, while I do have what I consider to be a respectable win-rate over the years, and am proven profitable in the games I play, it's more for the love of the game for me than anything else.
I am a student of all the games, always seeking to improve. It would be awesome to find a fellow pro willing to take me on, and perhaps even dedicate some coaching time to me as well as be supportive. I'm open-minded, consistent and love the grind. I will also not quit on you.

As far as my character is concerned, I am pretty low key at the tables, and off of them I am honest and upfront.
You won't find any instance where my reputation was ever damaged from any previous debts or anything, I don't have any drug issues, drinking problems, or gambling issues and am proud of that fact. And I have references to back that up.
I don't have a family of my own just yet, so my living expenses are quite low, which also means I can travel anywhere anytime, and am open to relocating if needed.

I can be a meticulous record keeper and will be even more so with someone else's money. I keep things organized and will always be upfront and honest, and willing to keep things public if so desired.
I have Skype and Twitter and am generally always available.
I am more than willing to send you any information you request including past results.
In terms of volume, I am willing to commit to heavy play or whatever you deem is acceptable.

Stakes I Play:
I play live 2/5 and 5/10 NL mostly. And would love the chance to take a shot at higher stakes if its ever afforded to me or makes sense for us to do.
Although not my main game, I'm a solid PLO player as well. Including PLO8 and have played both STUD HI, and STUD8 live before and I enjoy them just as much, tho they are not spread very often around here, but sometimes a good mix game can pop up that I may have an edge in.

Open to travel, but there is great action all within an hour from me. Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun, MGM Springfield, Twin Rivers and a brand new casino opening this summer the Boston Wynn all provide a ton of great games.
Especially with the new Boston Wynn, It's like knowing BTC is about to skyrocket but you're broke!

Tournament Staking (Optional):
Without name dropping, one of the best poker players in the world I had the pleasure of meeting once said to me that you need to play tournaments even if it's just a few a year, in hopes of taking down a sizable score to better your roll, otherwise you could be stuck grinding forever.
I wish I could play more tournaments but my bankroll has never really afforded me to. I've taken shots here and there but always chose to save the buy-ins for cash games.

It would be fantastic, but not a deal breaker, to have a backer willing to also do a tournament arrangement. (A simple 50/50 with makeup perhaps). I absolutely believe I have an edge to be taken advantage of. There is value in putting me in tournaments especially mid-stake ones. We do get some great tournaments around here especially at Foxwoods like WSOP Circuit Events and other series like it.
...And I'm not gonna lie, watching all this WSOP action this summer has me wicked hungry to play something and run deep!

Closing Arguments:
So if there is anyone out there who might be interested in backing a winning east coast horse, whether you're from the area or not, I would be forever grateful. Hoping to form a long-term lasting friendship out of it.
I'm not a stickler over terms, just looking for a fair split that I can live off of as well as make you a profit.

I know what I am searching for might be a long-shot, I'm not very well known so I am hoping to find someone with experience who's trusting enough and willing to put me on stake. And if given the opportunity, I believe we can both profit.

Anyways, thanks for taking the time to read all this.

If interested in talking, you can PM me here or you can find my email address on my profile. Either way, if this thread is still up it means I'm still looking, hope to talk soon.

And good luck to everyone out there in the desert right now!
Much love,

-Tom
