I’m seeking to sell around $500 more in one-time stakes for the WSOP $1500 limit Omaha 8/better on June 1. I’ve beaten my local O8 game soundly and contribute regularly on the 2+2 O8 forum.
Detroit Greektown $5/10 full kill Omaha 8
(spring 2011-spring 2012):
+ $7021 in 348 hours
1.55 BB/hour (based on $13 estimated big bet, because of kill)
95% confidence interval, based on observed standard deviation:0.66 BB/hr to 2.44 BB/hr.
The Greektown 5/10 game is really loose and only slightly aggressive, as I anticipate early rounds of a WSOP scale tournament to be.
All live limit O8 over the past two years
427 hours
1.10 BB/hr
95% CI: 0.3 to 1.9 BB/hr

In 2008-09 I played about 200 tournaments of LO8, PLO8, NLO8 with an ROI above 20%. My HM database from that time is archived but I’ll attempt to retrieve it.
My general strategy to these O8 tournaments was to play a solid TAG game early on and then switch gears to frequent stealing nearing the money if and only if the remaining players got more weak-tight.
See here for more. I think I have a good idea of general tournament principles -- e.g., don't try to coast into a mincash when the bulk of the money is in the top positions, but do give ICM higher weight as you approach the final table.
I expect people to get even more weak-tight in a tournament of this size approaching the money, but I'm observant enough to calibrate my strategy to exploit the table.
