All backers should have something about their old horses in their profile page. It would be so much easier for the new backer to verify the horses references. It will also help the horses to quickly find a new backer. I read it somewhere in this thread. I am probably just repeating it.

meh, i dont want all my staking history to be easily seen by anyone.


if someone ever uses me as a ref, i would hope they would first ask me if this was ok, and the new backer would contact me and verify.

Again, as stated by multiple people, there should be nothing particularly quick or easy about entering into a backing agreement. If you can't take the time to do your homework and check up on references, then you probably shouldn't be backing.

grunching a bit but

1) I agree with the OP. Limiting the # of threads per poster makes sense. I understand that someone with three events wants better organization and visibility and prefers having three threads, but it's somewhat inconsiderate to the other posters.

2) Backers listing prior stakees isn't necessary and prior horses not really anyone's business but theirs. They will generally provide references for good stakees when asked.
