I am starting a "Staking Tournament" for the Sunday Million. This would basically be a hybrid between a satellite and a staking deal.
For example:
11 people play a private/created tourney with a $20 buy-in making the prize pool $220. The winner of this tournament then uses those winnings to play in the Sunday Million with every other person that played in the tourney having a piece of you.
What's the point of winning the satellite then you say?
First off, you get whatever "overlay" there is. Example: 13 people buy in for $20 creating a prize pool of $260, but the Sunday Mil is $215 meaning you keep the extra $45.
Also, there will be an accelerated payout for the person playing the Sunday Mil.
Example: (based on 12 players)
cash for minimum-$999 = even split = 8.33% per player
cash for $1000+ = 25% for the winner, 6.8% for other 11
cash for $20000+ = 50% for the winner, 4.5% for other 11
Who is this tourney for?
Low stakes players who want the experience of playing in the big weekly tournament every now and then without having to front $200+ and/or having a horse in this tournament to cheer on. Obviously we prefer winning MTT players, but not a prerequisite. The only thing that is a must is having marketplace eligibility/status for obvious trust issues.
