Hello 2+2. I'm currently looking to be privately backed and after searching the forums I ended up here.

I am a mid/high stakes regular who's had decent success at MTTs. Therefore I am looking for a decent deal at the mid/high stake level. <$109r and <$530 FO.

I am familiar with backing agreements so I would run at 50/50 + make-up.

Kind of an iffy situation with the above poster. We eventually decided to allow him to post this thread but we need to make other posters aware of a couple things. Most importantly, there was an incident on PTP which I believe made him the biggest roller on that site, for around $20k. However, this was eventually worked out and completely paid back, and with nothing to gain from doing so.

So in spite of history, I think paying back $20k+ suggests he's got some character and suffered a setback (as opposed to just being a scumbag), and he appears to be a decent and profitable player as well. Frankly I have more faith in him then I do some of the folks we have running around here now, so meh.

So, we'll just leave this up for potential backers to weigh the risk/reward accordingly. Obviously you're on your own with this one.

Even though Twin has had some iffy situations in the past, my dealings with him have been 100% no problem and have been a pleasure. I've done trades with him and have staked him in the past for a few tournaments with no problem. He's a very solid MTT player as you can see from his stats. Hopefully he gets another shot.

About 7 months ago I had a problem with playing in cash games over my head. I went on a downswing and took my backer's $$ to cash and donked it off in a matter of weeks.

I have since then matured and learned a critical lesson in my life. Paid back everything that was owed with little to nothing to gain from it besides dignity. I've had a number of backing deals since then that have went very well and I've had no complaints.

A few people have asked me what happened to money I've won... I can afford to bankroll myself at the mid stakes level, but I'm looking to play backed not only to play higher but also open up oppurtunites for live backing in the future.

Hope this is a good enough explanation.
