my name is John and i'm looking for a backer for the upcoming STAR Casino Summer Series that runs from late November in to December.

As you could tell I'm not a volume whore or anything but prefer to keep tables low, concentration up and really pay attention to what is going on at my tables. This includes a victory in the Sunday Challenge on 888 for $22,400.

I used to be a poker dealer at the STAR Casino and very familiar with regs and recs alike. This is the softest series in either Sydney or Melbourne by FAR as it's at the end of the year when it's hot outside and most people are starting to go on holidays so the fields are big and very soft.

This series doesn't tend to attract any overseas big names and some top Aussie grinders give it a miss too. Fish are guaranteed! Being WSOP APAC hangover in Melbourne all the overseas guys are headed home or to the bigger series' overseas.

Total buy ins = AUD$5,630 but i won't lock in an exchange rate until closer to the first event to make it fair for all parties. However i can tell you that AU$5,630 currently = $4,954.25 US.

- All events are NLHE.
- Obviously if i am still in another event, i will not be playing the $440 turbo or the $550 bounty.
- No need to worry about travel costs or anything included. I live around a 40 minute drive from the venue and it's very easy to get there (down the highway and across the bridge (brag) )
- I will be travelling home each day and sleeping in my own bed which any one will know is a big advantage!
- I have not got much experience playing live tournaments because i wasn't allowed to play at STAR until 6 months after but i have played quite a few cash sessions in Melbourne and now at STAR since my probation ended although results are hard to track so i won't go in to details there - i'm definitely a winner there though in 1/2 and 3/3 NLH.

I'm vouching for this guy. Good player, very very improved over the last 18 months. I used to stake him and have seen him from the beginning. His experience as a dealer at the venue is clearly a very good advantage in an already soft series. As he states, the timing and location make it very desirable for fish.
