I'm happy to hear this. It will probably be a long time, but if he's really going to make things right I'm happy for him as well as for myself, and for all the others he stole from. I haven't received anything yet, but I think that he has many people on his list. If he pays me back the full $1500 he took from me I will then forgive him. I will also update here if anything happens.

Seriously?

People stake known scammers/untrustworthy people then want to come on here complaining and looking for justification when they get rolled? Really?

Appreciate the heads up to the community but TBH anyone that stakes someone when they know they stepped outside terms of a past agreement deserves what they get IMO.

People as naive as you fuel the fire for these cretins to carry on doing what they do, meaning the rest of the honest community have to jump hurdles to get a deal.

was newer to staking at the time, while he had his bad rep i didn't know the extent of it, and while i essentially got what was expected to an extent, you comming on here abusing me for sending out a warning is a total douchebag move

Here to confirm that Jake (Gamblor288) added me to skype someweeks ago, and pay me the 200$ (100$ + 100$).

Just waiting my share of profit, but full BR its on my side.

I doubt it. Then you all would've been paid back in full. Jake always brags and flashes with money at skype (whenever he has it). I remember him showing off like 9k CAD in cash for a month ago or so. By that time he had a 2,5kCAD roll at one of his 10+ partypoker accs as well. He is actually good at poker but got major drug problems (and other problems in his real life) so it's really sad.. I've always thought there was something weird going on with this guy and now its 100% confirmed when I found this thread. I am a 180 man reg myself and I've been friends with Jake for over 2 years and we're not friends anymore because of (yep you guessed it) money transactions.

iv been told by him he went to rehab, and to date he has paid out of the 1500 owed 550. Hes also payed up to multiple others. So whether he has 10k it doesn't majorly concern me. I think its reasonable to keep money in your account to grind with or live generally even if you owe people. If it was a much larger sum that might be a more moral question but he clearly has showed intention and taken a level of action to my satisifaction so far and i hope continues to show progress in paying back everybody he owes.

For those who are still waiting to get paid back from Jake i do not know how likely it is anymore. He has not contacted me or another guy i know who was awaiting payment for months now. He also stopped payments months ago after only repaying about 30% of what he owed

Wow dejavu! I read a forum about a scammer on the bankroll mob forums not long ago and it was the EXACT same scenario, I don't remember the name but he wanted money for backing and had good graphs, was a good player etc, had a decent rep so got some loans and used basically the exact same excuse that he degend all the cash away then months later slowly started to repay then stopped again then started again almost the exact same story, I'm sure if you take a quick look on the BRM forums you'll find the story and you'll be surprised with how identical it sounds, you might also find some more information out about who the guy really is

Hi, sorry for opening such an old thread, but how did it go at the end. Did you get your money back?

It's good to keep this thread alive. The resolution is still in progress - I hope. I waited for 1 year, then he finally paid $500 of the total $1500 back to me. Now it has been almost 2 years without contact. I try to contact him once in a while, and ask him to pay another instalment. No success. He hasn't answered. I understand that it takes some time because the list of people is long, but the communication is not very good at the moment...
