Team Mattster is reforming and looking for some horses. This is for MTT staking and MTT sngs that fit in the range as well. Looking for players willing to put good volume in the $33 and under range. You may get to play bigger later, but not to start out. You will also get the opportunity to learn from me.

Prerequisites:

A winning player at these levels
A decent amount of volume
References
AIM obv

What to PM me

Stars/Full Tilt IDs
MTT #played/Winnings/Profits/ROI (Broken down by buyin)
Sharkscope Stats
Age
Occupation
Times you will be playing
How much volume can you put in
Have you been backed before? If so, by whom?
Why you need backed?
Why should I back you?
Any 2p2 MTTers that you talk with regularly?
Aim
PocketFives ID if one
Anything else you think I should know

What to Expect If You Are My Horse

40%(you)/60%(me) to start until you have $1000 in profits(50% split after)
We will only take profits when you have at least $1000 in profits. (This # could change if you start playing bigger)

Also I will do an hour of coaching via hand history replayer on one of your first deep finishes. When we take our first profits($1000) $100 of your share will go towards the coaching. It is possible I may have to do another hour of coaching if I feel it needs to be done. After showing me profits you will be given the opportunity to permantly move up or to take shots here and there if I feel you are capable of beating those limits and depending on amount of makeup. If you are in deep, you will grind. If you are up $800 in your accounts I may allow you to take some shots.

You will be sending me nightly recaps via aim or email with starting Stars/Tilt rolls and ending and tourney results

I will aim people who I want to talk further with and pm anyone else who doesn't meet what I'm looking for. If you are willing to put in the time and learn, you should have no problem moving up quickly.

Thanks

My live experience is limited to last years PCA where I finished something like 225/800 and a couple trips to Vegas where I played small(avg. 50 entries) local tourneys and cashed 4/6 with 2 wins and a 4th.

Anyone interested, send me a PM and we can discuss further.

Update: I've sold all I want to sell. Thanks.

Due to set of ridiculous and extraordinary set of circumstances I am stuck in Vegas and virtually cash busto.

I would fly home but I have a main event seat and it probably isn't worth the effort/expense of flying home and back out here.

I'm looking to sell 40% of my action for the $5k 6 handed NL he event for $2500. Smaller shares at the same rate also.

Check out my live record http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=112. Or my pokerdb and sharkscope records on Stars under my username of "The Camel".

I can provide references if required.

Pm me if you are interested.

here are my graphs under my main stars name since i dropped out of school last dec. I made another 10k at 400nl fr in lik 20k hands i think at 5ptbb or somthing that isnt showed...idk ill get into it if it makes a difference to anyone. That was under the stars accnt name of "nuisance2u" which stars closed. I dont have the hand historys nemore since one of my reformats, but maybe i can bitch at stars to give them to me even though they were against the fact that i had the accnt open in the first place.

neways this break even strectch is due to doomswitch/bad bankroll managment/bad bankroll luck of moving up and down at all the worst times. i can post hh beats out the ass from my 600nl and 1knl if youd like. Im surprised i havent gottan much enthusiasm so far from stakers. Pm me with questions. Im looking for 50/50 on a decent stake. or for higher games ill take 40% or whatever depending on the circumstances. Also interested in sit and go stake/coaching. I know a kid who makes alot at those with little thinking involved.

o and the limits that are listed twice are because this is some from oldschool pt2 database and also my new pt3 database. so the classified hu and 5 max limits differently that why it will look weird. youll also notice ive improved as a player even since then when i was pretty solid neways.

I used to grind mid-stakes cash games and sng's for a couple of years until this year when I started playing MTT's. Was a pretty big winner in cash games and sng's.

Hey - I'm a full-time tournament player seeking a stake to clear Full Tilt's deposit bonus by playing micro and low stakes NL. I'm ranked 99.5+% on OPR (PM for user name) and was a winning player over 300k hands at 25, 50, and 100NL on Party pre-UIGEA. Previous staking references available. Serious inquires only - PM to initiate discussion.
06-20-2008 , 07:41 PM
Hi,

I'm looking to enter into a staking agreement, preferably long-term, beginning in late August (I have some obligations until then that prevent me from committing to poker hardcore). My Pokerstars screenname is Hobbdidday.

My OPR: http://officialpokerrankings.com/pok...29177.html?t=2
To summarize, 15k profit, 62% ROI, Avg Buy-in $22, 1075 tournaments. My OPR begins in October 2006, but the record of playing is very spotty (with months of no play in between and no real profit) until September 2007, when I started playing regularly.

I played about 20k hands of 100nl 6max from September 07 - December 07, but unfortunately broke my laptop after that and didn't take the initiative to recover my hand history files. I beat the game very solidly playing about 32/24 and made about $3000. Since then, I only have 15k hands of 100nl 6max and 15k hands of 200nl 6max, and adopted a TAGgier style of around 25/19 for a total profit of around $4000. Recently I've tried my hand at 50PLO and 100PLO, but have only put in maybe 1500 hands for a total profit of like $400. Obviously that doesn't show much, but I do believe that my greatest strength as a poker player is hand-reading, which ties in well with PLO.

Okay. So on now to some more verbal reasons I think I'd be good for staking and reasons why I want it.

First of all, personality. I am very honest and have several references who can back me up on that. I'm the kind of person that is very open about himself, because I have nothing to hide. I love to talk to people and learn about them, and relationship management is the people-skill I think I best possess. If you were to back me, we would not have any problems.

The references I have are also the only 3 serious poker players I know, lol. (By the way, one main reason I’d love to be staked is to have the opportunity to talk to more good poker players. I know that is a crucial component to improvement, and I’m definitely lacking it.) They are:
Ehunter27, “The_Taj” on 2+2, who is a heavy poster in every forum and is a small stakes player (also looking for backing, actually, lol).
Bballin04, who is very isolated from the poker world, mostly cause he’s lazy, and just trolls 2+2 and pocketfives.com. He must be one of the only poker players NEVER to use AIM. But he has almost $150k profit on OPR and I’m sure several tourney pros here recognize the name.
Tcblade, or “U_2good4_me” on Full Tilt. He’s a 5/10, 10/20 regular that has chalked up a huge profit over the last 2 years. I’m sure some of you recognize him – he also won a $1k euro side event at EPT Monte Carlo for $90k+ euros. And once he lost $26k playing 50/100 lollerskates.

I’m not sure if I’m allowed to talk about my staking arrangements in the past, but here goes, (with names left out).

In August 2007 (before, as I stated before, I started playing regularly) I had about $10k total poker profit across Pokerroom (when it was open to the US), Partypoker, and full tilt, and a little on Stars. But I had never taken the game seriously and my bankroll was like less than $1000. I received a $2000 loan, not even a stake, which I gave back in March 2008 along with $500.

This Summer, tcblade (who I believe thinks I’m better than even I think I am lol) offered to stake me in any WSOP event under $2000 for a 60/40 split. Unfortunately I can only make one of the events, Event #49 (if I win I won’t need a stake!).

I want a stake because I have discipline problems, and having the responsibility to a staker will fix that for me. I need poker to be a business to me, not a recreational activity. I have the same attitude towards school versus work – I don’t take school seriously at all, but at my jobs (right now an Investment Banking Summer Analyst) I work my ASS off. I need that sense of responsibility to someone else to motivate me to work 110%. Also, I need the money I make. I have to pay for my own rent and my own food, and so my bankroll right now is only $4500 because I keep having to cash out money

Without sounding pretentious, I want to let any potential backer know that I am smart. I have sky-high SAT scores and IQ test scores. My logical analysis skills are awesome. When I first learned, a couple months ago, that many of the best poker players were former Magic: The Gathering players, I had a friend teach me the game (which is a lot harder than poker, by the way). While I’m never going to play it, really, I understand how it works and why it makes good poker players. And I know that I have what it takes.

I want to be staked for larger tournaments, like $109s and up, especially Sunday events. I’m willing to go 60/40 until I reach a profit goal, at which point I’d want to go 50/50. I’m thinking that I will play everything from the $11r up, but we’d only split stakes on $109s and up (Nightly Hundred Grand, $320s, $215s, etc.) Of course, I’m very negotiable. Let me know if anyone is interested.

My AIM: Hobbdidday
My E-mail: Cjl49@cornell.edu

PS: I never study so I can play a lot at school lol, that's not a worry.
PPS: I forgot to mention that I have lots of tourney HHs you can look at, from any tournament you want. The easiest one to find if you're just curious is a $77 6max one I posted in which I got 2nd, in which I lost a 500,000 to 300,000 chip lead in 2 consecutive hands AK vs AJ and AT vs A9. Just google Hobbdidday and you'll see it.

I'm looking to be staked for 75-150 O8 and 100-200 mix cash games at WSOP. I'm in Vegas now and through most of WSOP. This arrangement could continue for as long as the games justify and we are both agreeable, either here or in LA, where I live permanently.

I want to be staked because I'm not rolled for these games. I can and do play the 20-40 O8 and 20-40 mix at Rio. You can find me there if you want to check me out. In fact, I would prefer it: I think that you're likely to trust me with a stake if you were to physically see me and get a feel for how I play and what I do. The game selection is actually more limited at the mid-limits than the higher limits, and whether these games are good or not depends how many tourists are in town, which changes from day to day. I've scoped out these higher games and, while they often have the same problems, there is more opportunity at the higher limits than the middle limits.

I think it would be more +EV for me to make a portion of the take from these higher games than in the games that I play.

I'm up 6BB/100 over 25k hands in online O8 this year. I'm not savvy enough to post this but could email you a screen shot. I don't play at the highest levels online because I don't cheat by colluding or sharing hole cards, and I feel that this puts me at such a competitive disadvantage that I don't bother. (If you aren't aware, the O8 community is so small that it doesn't look suspicious to see the same characters at the same tables online all the time. It is comparatively harder for anyone to prove collusion in this game than in NLHE where security could more easily track people playing together.)

I am an adequate tournament player, but I don't play enough to have a record to prove anything. I did cash (10th) in the HORSE at Binion's yesterday. This is the only tourney I've played so far this summer. I'm not really interested in a tournament arrangement right now unless you see something in me that justifies, and you convince me. I find tourneys to be too high-variance. I like to leave the cardroom most days with a profit.

Career, I have 1 WSOP cash in 1 event played. I do plan on playing the PLO8 at WSOP Tuesday, and if you are interested in a smaller arrangement I'm trying to sell off 10-20% of myself in that to reduce my variance.

PM me if interested.

Interested in being coached/staked at 2/4 limit holdem and higher. I've read winning in tough holdem games but haven't played enough 2/4 to prove i'm a winner.
06-23-2008 , 01:44 PM
Hey everyone,

Because the ME is obviously pretty high variance but with a huge upside, I am thinking about letting someone stake me for the main event this year. I am mainly a cash game player who plays 5/10 to 25/50NL on Stars (s/n is Alcohol4Life). Although I do not play very many MTT, I have spent a lot of time reading HSMTT and feel like I have a very strong tournament game, even in 10-40BB stack situations.

At the PCA this year, I cashed for $48,000 (24th place) after getting my money in PF w/ QQ vs TT and an above average stack, but that didn't work out very well. I have played a few events so far at this years WSOP (10K HU, 2500 6-max, 1500NL), but have ran pretty bad and not gone deep so far.

Anyway, if you are interested or if there is anything else you want to know, feel free to post here or PM me and we can discuss further. I know there are some MTT backers looking for +EV spots, and this is definately one of them. I'll be in Vegas throughout the WSOP so I'm down to meet up in person as well.

Thanks guys,

Garrett

I’m selling pieces of myself for the WSOP Main Event in increments of 1% for $100.

My Qualifications:

Online MTTs:
Since 2007 I’ve played around 1,200 online MTTs for $27k in profits with an ROI of 28.5% and ITM around 20%. I play as Proofrock on PokerStars and Prufrockstar on FTP if you wish to OPR me.

Live MTTs:
My live tournament experience is more limited, although I’m confident I have an edge. I recently placed 31st of 398 in the LAPT Costa Rica $2,500 buy-in tournament. I also have a winning record in the 30 or so $50 - $300 buy-in live tournaments I’ve played over the last few years, including two final tables and two wins.

No-limit Hold’em:
In addition to my tournament credentials, I’m a winning professional poker player who plays primarily mid-stakes full ring no-limit hold’em online. In full ring online games I’ve won at an average rate of 5.5 PTBB/100 over a 185k hand sample at stakes ranging from $1/2 - $5/10 (mostly at $2/4). I also have a solid winning record in live cash game play over a smaller sample of hands for the same of limits.

If you’re interested send me a PM.

Regards,
Chris

Looking for a stake for MTT's for the next week. Makeup over that time with a 55/45 split in stakers favor.

Do not need the stake, but would like the possibility of having a big score with no downside before the end of the month.

Will play 27-163's on ftp and PS.

Will probably be around 70ish tournaments.

I have staked, been staked, done large transfers, etc...

my FT SN is IPray2God.

PS SN is Luke, U Know.
http://officialpokerrankings.com/pok...76743.html?t=2

Unless you are a very respected poster etc I will require $3500 upfront, most on stars, as I do not have a lot of money there, can be vouched for on this being me protecting my ass from a scam and not a scam itself.

PM me for AIM/MSN or leave me a msg if interested.

I already posted about this a few weeks ago but I just wanted to repost it in case there is any new interest. I am playing the 50k horse wsop event tomorrow at 5pm. I have sold just over 20k of myself so far in it. Even if I am unable to sell anymore I am going to play it but I would like to sell about 5-10k more if I can.

Here is a link to the thread I started on this forum:

Looking for a long term staking agreement.

I am looking for a long term staking agreement, played on Bodog(phisherman) with some minor play on FTP(Phishguy) and PS(phisherman88) with a ton of live play mixed in. I played 99% cash games with a only a few tournaments and sit and goes to blow off steam. I am a winning player over 300k hands in both NL Holdem and PLO8. I made well over 10k mid last year playing 1/2 PLO8 and a little less than 5k playing holdem. I made a ton of cashouts for RL because I had no job at the time. Recently I took the rest of my role off FTP to cover some dental bills.

Terms:
15-20 Buyings at .50/1.00-1/2 provided by staker.
55/45 in favor of the staker.
I can only buy out of the stake with at least 15k in profits (for staker) plus stake back. Otherwise its up to you on how long the stake will last.
Hands and progress will be provided daily.
Sites preferred would be cake poker (highest rakeback) Absolute Poker, UB or bodog.
I will be allowed to play my choice of either NL Holdem and PLO8
Staking agreement only applies for cash games.

More information (graphs, refrences, etc.) I do have will be provided if interested. PM me for details.

Looking for staking on Fulltilt for 1/2 and 2/4 6m NLHE. Would rather give details via PM.

Alright. Once again Ill ask. I got so many emails from people who had like one post that I had to stop reading. PM me if you wish to be staked and have good RECOMMENDATIONS/CREDENTIALS. All NLHE fields are acceptable(Cash, Sngs, Mtts). Deal will depend on how long you wish to be staked, what limits, how much of my help you will want with coaching etc. Im fairly good in all fields so if you are a low limit player, I will be able to help you. My email address is thehodge05@msn.com.

If anyone is looking to back someone in any events, I'd be interested in playing tomorrow's $5k 6 handed event, and the main event. Don't want the variance of $15k in buy ins. I don't have a ton of tourney experience, I mostly play 2/4-5/10nl, mainly grinding 2/4nl, and am a top winner at that level. If interested shoot me a PM and I'll get you my AIM or #.

I do not know if this guy is a scammer or not. HOWEVER, The peoples names of his references are 1) a guy I tried to stake before who scammed me, Mmmarabou, and the other, Abominable, was mentioned in this thread:
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...ght=abominable

So, do your homework. Also, his PM said that he had interest with other people and would like this to be done as soon as possible.
PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS.
