I would like to be really interest being staked. I´m finnish guy, age 28. Suffered quite bad vehicle injury couple years ago and now always at home. Been trying to get back to Pokerstars to grind $1-$5 Turbo/Hyper Turbo sit and go, but BR is not big, as about 80-85% of my monthly income goes straight to rent, medicines and hospital bills. Hello everyone and Happy New Year! My name is James and I would thank to say thank you first and foremost for reading my post. I'm very new to the online forum community. I will do my best to make this short, sweet, and to the point. I will give a brief background about me and how I got into poker and my current standings, reasons I feel I would be a good investment, and what I have to offer my investor or backer. I will also give a brief description of my plan and actual projected play schedule once backed.

My names is James im 26 and I was born in Apopka, FL. Played football in high school until I broke my collar bone and then pretty much lost my way. I put more effort into making friends and having a good time then I did anything else. I graduated thankfully and continued my mission for a good time. Ended up being told my prom date was having my baby so at 19 I had to take a job making $10 an hour to handle my responsibility. This went on for about 2 years. Long story short I caught her cheating (pretty much redhanded) took Blayne and went to my parents. On my mom and dads advice (and dime) we had Blayne paternity tested. Obviously this involved Lindseys cooperation and within a week I received a call saying that Blayne was not mine. About 30 min later I received a call from Seminole County Sheriff's stating if I didn't meet them and Lindsey at Albertsons with Blayne I would be arrested for kidnapping. So obviously I did. I was pretty screwed up for about a month after that. You go from being a Dad and and basically a husband (we were not married but lived together for 2 years) to nothing. I woke up in my studio apartment everyday and just didn't know why. Would putt around for a little get fuked up go to sleep. Repeat. Lost my job for failure to appear and had to start selling to make bills and support my habits. I missed my sisters wedding on November 3rd 2007. I had been up for 3 days on a coke binge. I remember looking at myself in the mirror that morning and being like WTF James. You are truly a POS. I decided then to clean my **** up and take this second chance I was given. Losing Blayne and Lindsey gave me another chance to figure out who I was and what I wanted to do. And it wasn't a junkie. So I got a job cutting concrete and cleaned myself up. Haven't done hard drugs since that day. NO BS. Anyways I was brought to a poker game in Daytona sometime in 09 by friend my Josh. Lost money but liked the game. Went on to play online and spew money to everyone. Pretty much the Santa Claus of online poker sites. Lol. Yeah had a few sick runs but had no clue what I was doing. Betting to bet and calling to call. Level 1 thinking. Had about 3k on UB when BF happened. Sucked pretty bad. But just stopped playing and forgot about poker basically. Few months later I had some cash lying around and played Friday Night Lights at Daytona Poker room and binked it for 1.2k got me caught up and a little ahead with my bills and again forgot about poker. Then a few months later I went a played another Fri tourney. Took 2nd for 600. Then I went on to play another one that Saturday and binked it for 700. So had 1300. Decided I was the best and couldn't be beat. I sat down at the 2/5 table. Played terrible for a couple hours (unknowingly to me, still level 1 thinking) and ended up being in the game for my whole roll. Ended up hitting a heater and ran it up to about 2300. Then.... This happened. I wake up with QQs in the small blind. And huge raise war ensues and we saw a flop. Top set for me on a rainbow board. I check he bets I raise we get it all in baby. *** YEAH! He rolls over AA. The guy to his right says oh man I folded AK preflop because of all that raising. Im so freaking happy I can't believe it. Literally about to crap my pants. I have a 5.5k pot pretty much locked up. A of spades on the river. I really don't wanna get into how I reacted but I will say I saved it for my car. Thought I was the unluckiest guy in the world. Truthfully never should have been on that table. But at that time I literally had never looked at a poker training site or read a book or knew anything about variance and bankroll management. Wish I had fellow poker friends who could've guided me at that time. Probably wouldn't have to be posting right now. But hey again I was basically a rec player and a fish. I didn't see that at the time tho. I had a friend Josh who played but same deal with him basically. So anyways I stopped playing again for awhile. One Christmas my girlfriend at the time got me the Dan Harrington work book series. It was then that I was introduced to the world of True Poker Strategy lol. Before long I found myself on YouTube and other sites watching and reading everything I could about poker strategy. I realize that there was no perfect strategy but you could take bits and pieces from everything and put it together for different situations. So early last year I decided to start playing again online and live. I was able to make some nice scores in both areas. Thankfully that helped me catch up with all of my bills and also paid for me to learn web design and search engine optimization. It wasn't till about 6 months ago that I realized poker is what I wanted to make my career. I don't want to just play poker for a living I want to be a part of a group of people who are as passionate about poker As I am.

I currently live in a 3 bedroom house I share. Nice place in a nice area of Longwood FL. I pay 550 a month for rent, usually 100 for water and power. 344 a month for my car and 150 for insurance. My nut for the bills alone each month is 1200. I'm currently employed full time but im fortunate and my job is kick azz. I make my own schedule and basically can work anywhere anytime and salary at 600 gross a week. Take home about 5. No kids or outstanding debts. I don't drink except socially and I do smoke bud every once in awhile.

My dreams and goals for poker are big I will admit but I believe I can do it especially with the right people. I see myself within the next few years grinding my way to the top. Im very dedicated and believe I can achieve it. Im not lazy and I am willing to put in the time and effort. I don't have a lot leaks and liabilities that alot of people my age do. I have no kids, no addictions, don't do hookers lol cause I don't need em, dont play pit games or prop bet, I understand bankroll management and variance and will practice proper bankroll management and till control. I have a job that will pay my life expenses while I also grind full time so all of my profits can go towards building my roll and helping to excel myself and others including my backer and my family. My family supports my decision unfortunately they are not in the position to give me the proper backing or investment to go full time live 1/2 and NL100 online. Which I feel would be the best starting place for myself given my skill level, location, and games available.


I don't have much tracked success compared to a lot of people I have met in the past few months since joining. I have screen shots of wins and just started using a tracking app on my phone since Dec 1st which has tracked what I have been able to play with the money I have. My old screen names are dillieyo87 on stars and tilt and holdemchamp4 on ub. Again these stats are from 3-5 years ago and my style and level of thinking and play has increased dramatically. I can assure you of this so please keep this in mind. I guarantee you a brief conversation can prove this. I had a good year on Bovada and have cashout emails and screen shots of wins to prove it. Also the live success on my phone.

I need more than just a backer or investor. I need someone who is willing to help me to become the best I can be and show me how to become a true pro poker player. And all that entails. Although I am a new to 2+2 and will most likely be overlooked for that (and understandable), I am looking to be backed semi-full time for MTTs. I am currently only on PartyPoker (since turning 18 a year and a half ago) however am looking to expand and to do that being staked seems like the most +EV thing to do. My info is as follows:

Although I am a student, I am able to devote minimum 5-days/week (min. 8 hours/day on those days) for MTTs. I'm 33, from Portsmouth UK. I work for a living but last year tried to play as much live poker as possible. I feel I have a better edge live than online and really focus more to get good reads of other players at the table. I'm looking to play more live tournaments this year in the same buyin bracket I did last year £200 - £300 mostly but would also like to take shots at some GUKPTs at £500 buyin.

Last year I played about 15 live tournaments, ranging from £200 - £400. I final tabled 3 of them, including 2nd in Black Belt Live for $8500 and 3rd in PKR Live for $16k. I know this is small sample but I'm confident in my live play and really want to push on this year and put in a bit of volume.

I'm looking for someone to stake me up to 50% for each tournament I play. I'm looking to play all of the Grosvenor 25/25 South (£220 buyin) tournaments (once a month). I'll also be playing as many London events as possible, tournaments such as the WPT National, Black Belt Live, PKR Live as well as events like the IPO and later in the year, the Battle of Malta. Then hopefully with the help of a backer, I can push on and play some GUKPTs and maybe even some UKIPT events

Hi, i need stake on pokerstars. I'm new on this site and i read all this stuffs before. I know the risk is major to stake a new player, but let me finish this request and think about it.

I need a stake on pokerstars for MTT's, SNG's or Heads-up. No Cash.
MTT's: 5-10$ maybe larger tournaments from satellites (if staker agrees this)
SNG's: 2.50$ 180 turbo's
Heads-up: i wish to play 10.50$super KO's heads-up, this kind of tournaments are very profitable and they are running almost every hour on pokerstars. As you know, in these tournaments there are a lot of fishes and if i bust 2 players i get the money back to roll, after that is freeroll (i wish to add that i was busted in the first round only few times) + more heads-up tournaments ($20 turbo for example).

My best result in online poker was winning the Saturday Duel (about $4.5k) and few tournament +$1k. You can check my OPR on Pokerstars here.

Im pretty sure that stakers are not very happy to stake a new player, but they should try first with a minimum amount of stake. I also add that i accept only one staker (no more in the same time).

I have first played poker around october 2010. I played mostly freerolls and nano stakes. For the longest time, my objective was to build my bankroll from freerolls up to the nosebleeds. It is time for me to admit that I wont be able to do it on my own.

I exprimented several formats of NL and I seem to perform better in theses: HUSNG, Zoom FR, and MTTs.

My strenghts: I am very competitive, I am a perfectionnist always looking to improve, I am honest and loyal. I master, or at least I understand most poker fundamentals.

My leaks: I don't accept defeat, if I am in a loosing session, I tend to run after my losses and sometimes it brings me to make less +EV decisions.

On this matter, I find important to report that I had one staking deal a few years ago. It was 15 BI at 0.02/0.04 on Merge Network. Played a few thousand hands and made like a few BI in profit; but one night, I had a bad session. I doubled the number of tables I usually played on and played for like a full day without a break, trying to recoup my losses. I ended up losing it all. Obv. Backer dropped me, and I was so mad at myself that even if the backer told me to forget about it, shipping back the $60 is still on my todo list.

What I am looking for:

I would love to join a team where I could improve my game. I have deposited 25$ last month that I brought up to $45 almost exclusively playing zoom 0.01/0.02.

I am fine with chosing either HUSNGs, MTTs or FR cash and concentrating on improving that game.

What I want from a backer: If I think that the backer has alot to bring to me in terms of experience, expertise and ressource; I am fine with not asking for any money and sharing my gains from my own bankroll (ie.: playing $1.50 HUSNGs, 2NL zoom or $0.50 45 and 90 MTTS from my own $45 and splitting profits according to some % that we will have previously set).

Obv. If the backer thinks it would be +EV to boost my bankroll so I can play higher limits I am fine with it also.

I'd be flattered by any interest and I'm happy to discuss any buy in levels, I just feel (granted from limited experience) that there is a too much value to ignore in live tournaments across the UK, especially in the GUKPT and similar tours. Dear potential backers,

I am looking to start a long term player/backer relationship. Need someone to bankroll me for a minimum of one year. I will need access to $40,000 to start. This will provide 40 buy-ins at 5/10nlh. I need my backer to be able to move up in limits as I move up. It would be best if this person had access to $80,000 that they wanted to invest. Besides looking for money I am looking for a coach/mentor. The more help I have access to the more money I will make for both of us. I will be playing Live professionally in Macau.

I have made my living off of cards for the past eight years. My best game is full ring no limit Holdem. Most of my career has been spent on Pokerstars, playing mid stakes under Huha’sgirl. I originally built my roll playing live and am now looking to make the switch back. Over the past ten years I have made close to one half million dollars. I did this starting with five dollars. My play is very consistent. I have never had a problem with tilt. I have never taken big shots. I have had my success because of my dedication to the grind. Attached is my last 1.6 million hands. This is proof to my consistency. I use a business mentality with cards and before now I have always had over one hundred buy-ins for the games I played.

Currently I do not have my bankroll because I am not liquid. I just went all in with a Holiday Villa business. I also have a good portion invested in gold which I currently do not want to sell. My business, home and truck is paid in full. I have zero outstanding debt. I have considered borrowing money from the bank. Problem is my current situation makes this very difficult. I live outside of the States and my business has no long term income. I do not want to mortgage my house to gamble. Besides the last thing I want is to get involved with the banksters . All of these current situations combined makes getting staked a perfect option for me.

Open for negotiating regarding the terms. I do need my backer to be prepared to give me a one year commitment. As well as keeping $40,000 set aside so I have continued access to buy-ins if needed.

I am thirty two years old. Moved to Thailand seven years ago to play cards and live on the cheap. Met my wife and have been happily married since. I am a very solid trustworthy person. I'm new to this whole staking thing, so hopefully I'm doing it right.

I am a 23 year old Swedish business student, currently doing my 5th and final year. I've been playing fairly seriously over the past couple of years, but obviously not professionally due to my studies. I've merely viewed poker as a way for me to make some extra money since I am a student without any real major income (been on student aid (~$1250/month) for the past 5 years). That being said, I am excellent at making time for poker since I am very passionate about the game, and so I probably play far more than most people.

I play exclusively on the Swedish site SvenskaSpel, which I strongly believe to be the softest network out there. It is truly amazing how soft it is, and to give you an idea I would say it is probably as soft as other networks were in 2007/early 2008.

Below are my SvenskaSpel graphs for 2013, and as you can see I am a bit of a volume player. What makes this even crazier is that I did not play at all for 2 months last year. Like I said, I am great at making time for poker.

Below I'll try giving you an idea of the $ equivalents of these stakes, but something absolutely crucial to keep in mind is that the max/normal buyin at SvenskaSpel is 200bb, so the games play bigger a lot of the time.

kr1/2NL = ~$34NL
kr0.5/1NL = ~$17NL
kr0.25/0.50NL = ~$9NL

So, what is clear here is that I've wasted a lot of time playing lower than I should. Even though I've wanted to give higher stakes a serious shot (where I am still absolutely certain I have an edge), I've had to withdraw fairly large portions of my roll from time to time. I did a lot of traveling last year, which was the main reason for this. Traveling on a tight student budget would never have worked, so I pretty much needed a lot of poker $ to stay alive.

As you can see I've even played as low as ~$9NL, and this is because I've never deposited more than $250 in my life. I have always started low and worked my way up. I have never gone broke, and have no problem moving down in stakes if I'm going through a bad phase.

So, why am I looking for a stake? Well, mostly financial reasons. I don't have too much money to spare. I could do what I've done in the past, which is deposit around $250 and then start working my way up. But I simply feel it would be a major waste of time at this point, and I thought I might as well see what other options I have.

In terms of what I would want out of a potential staking deal, I am not entirely sure and I am very open-minded. Ideally, I would like to start off playing my regular kr1/2 stake, and then move up as soon as possible/as soon as I've won quite a bit. A reasonable starting roll would for kr1/2 (200bb) would be around $1600. Again though, this is not set in stone and I am willing to discuss it.

I would also love to have some sort of coaching arrangement with my backer, since I know for a fact I have some theoretical/fundamental flaws in my game. I am, however, very willing to work on these and I am an excellent hard-working student. I am also currently doing an internship abroad where I have virtually zero social life, so I can dedicate myself fully to poker.

Im Robert from Czech republic, 21 years old. I played mtt rush trnys on ftp
(abi 7.7usd) and had about 7.5kusd profit. I played since april to august 2013, so i had half-year break cause of family problems. Now im ready and able to play every day. Im really hard-working man and i can crush these limits easy. I have hem2 and icmizer.

Here is my stats (sorry for not optin, need to have at least one usd on ftp acc to optin my stats, but i dont have it)

I know, that 1250 sample of trnys is not too much, but true is that 1250 sample of rush trnys is definitely more hands/spots than in 10k default mtt trnys, if u know what i mean... and a 50% of trnys had 2-4 entries, so sample is way bigger than it lookz.

We have a lot of opportunities, i can continue to play mtt rush trnys or i should cross to ps and play 3.5r/8 180s+ any mtt up to 20usd. Im really able to crush these limits and i can prove it.
