Sounds like he's paid up so maybe this is moot. I don't think that badmouthing a debtor like that decreases the chances of it getting paid back. If someone screwed me over, I would want everyone possible to be shouting to the mountaintops what had gone down. I can see the line that this guy is gonna see all this and think that his rep is perma damaged. But since dude's a winning poker player, I think in the long run he'll realize how neg ev it is to be a cheating debter and pay it back. I don't think continous posts about what a cheat he is help that much, but in the longrun I think they help the cause of getting the debt settled more than they hurt it.

While I have no way of knowing if that was the real Jesse Vilchez or not, there was nothing immediately to suggest it wasn't. Will wait for any updates thruout the day. If the money the account says was sent has not been, the account will be banned and anyone who looks like they may have been perpetrating a hoax with that account will be dealt with accordingly.

I would think agus/Tssss could email the site/s asking if any transaction was initiated that matches the one reported here if they still haven't received payment next time they check. I would think the reported transfer happened during the time the JesseV account and I were having the exchange overnight if it happened.

If/When he pays back the money, he'll be banned still regardless right?

I made the transfer to aguskb last night, unsure of why it has yet to go through..if that is the case.

i emailed stars, then like 30 min later they responded and also put the funds in my account.... so i got the dough, FREEEROLLLINN..... and this is over with as far as im concerned on my side...

I assume he's doing this to clear his name, because this kind of story can have a way of following people around, even to other forums. Now at least he can point to the fact that it was resolved in the end.

I think he also has some hope that this might get caddymix back on here. I haven't really given that a lot of thought or discussed it with my fellow mods, but my first thought is that he should wait until at least the New Year until he even asks. Not saying he'll even be allowed back then, but there's certainly no way I see him being allowed back right away.

Glad to hear we finally got this resolved. And I think it demonstrates why we sometimes let alleged scammers stick around and/or come back in an effort to get things resolved. Often it doesn't work, but there are times that it does, which makes it all worth it.

I would think JesseV will be banned now since he's finished conducting his business. Since ape's been a little more hands-on than I in this matter, I'll leave that for him.

Jesse, you don't really deserve thanks just for doing the right thing, especially after the way you handled this and wasted so much of our time, but just the same, thanks for coming back and resolving this. Hopefully you'll think twice about how you conduct yourself elsewhere in the future.

I had no involvement with any part of this thread, but can't help but be impressed with the work of the mods, and everyone else as well. Damn fine job gentlemen (and perhaps ladies).

Glad to see this finally got taken care of. As for caddymix, I think he should be unbanned now that this is resolved. He vouched for a friend and then when Jesse didn't get this all taken care of he kept persisting. There's no doubt that he had a major involvement in the eventual conclusion of this whole stupid situation. How much can he really be held responsible here??? He vouched for a friend, who's rep was much more established than his own, and said he would try to get the situation taken care of. Which he did.

Unbanned at the start of the year is better than nothing, but still doesn't seem quite right to me. A permanent ban for caddymix is just sooooo unfair.
